With the further development of economy and trade, the international division of labor has deepened and expanded, and its division of labor has also undergone great changes. That is,the traditional industry is the basis for development, and the division of labor and cooperation between industry and industry and the same industry are improved through technical support. The division of labor in the chain system has gradually established a global industrial system through structural adjustment between industries. This global industrial chain restructuring not only plays an important role in realizing industrial transformation and upgrading, but also has a major impact on the social resources and environment of the whole country. The reconstruction of the global industrial system is a springboard for realizing the transformation and upgrading of the national industry.Being able to be embedded in the global industrial value chain, its degree of embedding and depth will play an important role in the development of the industrial chain of the whole country. The development of the industrial chain will also affect the way of energy consumption, and thus the carbon emissions of the whole society.Exploring how China has transformed from the current low-end global value chain embedding method to high-end embedding has become the direction of efforts and the key to realizing China's low-carbon economic transformation. It explores the causal relationship between global value chain embedding and manufacturing carbon emissions. The relevant mechanism of action is undoubtedly very important and urgent. This paper studies the impact of global value chain embedding on manufacturing carbon emissions, and clarifies the relationship and mode of action between the two aspects, both theoretically and empirically.First, the degree of embedding and manufacturing carbon emissions in each province were measured and analyzed, and the impact mechanism of global embedded value chain and traditional manufacturing on carbon emissions was studied, which laid the foundation for model building.Secondly, based on the relevant theoretical research, combined with the economic-environment model of the predecessors, the analysis model was established. In addition to the original factors of wealth(economic scale effect),technical level and urbanization level,it also joined the main influencing factors. The degree of global value chain embedding, population size, foreign investment level, and environmental regulation effects are expected to more fully explore the factors affecting manufacturing carbon emissions. The global value chain embedding degree indicator is based on China's inter-provincial input-output data.Thirdly,on the basis of the analytical model,an empirical study on the impact of global value chain embedding on carbon emissions in manufacturing is conducted. The spatial measurement method is used to analyze the degree of impact of different degrees of embedded global value chains in each province on the carbon emissions of manufacturing industries. Finally,on the basis of comprehensive theoretical analysis and empirical analysis,it puts forward reasonable suggestions for the development of China's manufacturing industry and low-carbon economy.
