The Iraq Hafaya oilfield project is the largest overseas investment project of CNPC,and the oilfield is located in the Misan province of Iraq.Its natural environment is harsh and there is no reliable external power source around.In phase III,the annual production capacity of hafaya oilfield will add 10 million tons and the total production capacity will reach to 20 million tons per year.Because of the huge power demand of the entire oilfield,the reliability,stability and safety of oilfield power system is very important.The primary part design for power system of Iraq Hafaya oilfield phase III project covers four parts that contain power generation,transmission,transformation and power distribution to form a fully functional intelligent oilfield power system.In this paper,the power system primary part of Iraq Hafaya oilfield phase III project was designed according to relevant standard specifications and the main research contents are as follows:(1)According to the load calculation of Hafaya oilfield,the scheme for power system primary part design of Iraq Hafaya oilfield phase III project was completed with reference to relevant design standards,which include the phase III power supply scheme design,power transmission and transformation system voltage level determination,main transformer selection and main electric connection design.(2)After the scheme design of power system primary part design of Iraq Hafaya oilfield phase III project,the EDSA,a professional electrical calculation software,was used for modeling and simulation to do the short-circuit current calculation and power flow analysis.By analyzing the simulation results,the main electrical equipment of power system was selected and the rationality of the system power flow distribution was verified.Also,several measures were proposed to improve power quality of this system according to the simulation results.(3)The power supply for Hafaya oilfield relies entirely on the gas turbine self-supplied power station.In this paper,the transient stability of hafaya oilfield power system was analyzed considering the case that generators exit due to faults.By simulating the power system in EDS A,the transient effects of generator's exiting operation on other generators,main motors and transmission lines in the system were analyzed.(4)The lightning protection and grounding grid was designed for the power system of Iraq Hafaya oilfield phase ? project.In the design process,the grounding conductors' cross-sectional area of different voltage levels were determined by calculation,and the lightning protection and grounding grid were designed according to the requirements of standards.The rationality of the grounding design was verified by the calculation of the grounding resistance.In this paper,the primary part design for power system of Iraq Hafaya oilfield phase III project was studied and completed,which provided technical support for the construction of the power system of Iraq Hafaya oilfield phase III project.
