The study of hydrophobic coatings is a need for social development,especially now that people have a higher taste in life,and are paying more and more attention to healthy,environmentally friendly and functional products.Studying water-based coatings with hydrophobic properties has an important role in the development of society,is in response to the call of the country for sustainable development,and is also to meet people's demand for functional products.In this paper,the semi-closed IPDI(IH)was obtained by using HEMA to semi-close IPDI.And a double bond was introduced on the surface of GO by reacting another isocyanate group with IPDI with the hydroxyl group in GO.It was as a bridge with(meth)acrylic acid(ester)polymerization.Then,the hydrophobic groups were introduced on the surface of graphene oxide through the modification of graphene oxide(GO)with glycidyl neodecanoate(E10P).And it was used as an intermediate of modified acrylic emulsion to synthesize hydrophobic graphene oxide modified acrylic emulsion.Finally,the synthesized emulsion was used as the main film-forming material,together with a cross-linking agent and other additives to prepare a hydrophobic coating.The specific research was as follows:1.The semi-closed IPDI(IH)was obtained by using HEMA to semi-close IPDI.Then,a double bond was introduced on the surface of graphene oxide by reacting another isocyanate group with IPDI with the hydroxyl group on the surface of graphene oxide to obtain a modified graphene oxide(IHGO)containing double bonds.And the hydrophobic group was introduced on the surface of graphene oxide by reacting E10 P with the carboxyl group on the surface of graphene oxide to obtain hydrophobically modified graphene oxide(IHGOE).The structural morphology and thermal stability of GO,IHGO,IHGOE were analyzed by using Fourier infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),X-ray diffraction(XRD),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),transmission electron microscopy(TEM)and thermogravimetric(TG).The experimental results showed that the double bond and the tertiary carbonic acid hydrophobic group were successfully introduced on the surface of graphene oxide,and the modified graphene oxide IHGOE was obtained.Especially,the thermal stability were gradually improved.2.The IHGOE modified acrylic emulsion with core-shell structure was synthesized by using methyl methacrylate(MMA),isobutyl methacrylate(i-BMA),tertiary ethylene carbonate(NA),diacetone acrylamide(DAAM)and methacrylic acid(MAA)as reaction monomers and IHGOE as modifier.The structure and morphology were analyzed by using FTIR,XPS,SEM TEM and TG,and the stability of the emulsion was analyzed by using the emulsion gel rate,viscosity and,stability of different formulations.The experimental results show that: The IHGOE was grafted into the structure of acrylic emulsion.The IHGOE modified acrylic emulsion has better thermal stability than pure acrylic emulsion,and the emulsion stability of the formulation was better when the mass fraction of IHGOE in the emulsion formulation was 23.61%.3.The hydrophobic water-based paint was prepared by using the synthesized emulsion as the main film-forming material,with cross-linking agent,thickener,defoamer,wetting agent,film-forming aid,silane coupling agent,etc.And the hardness,adhesion,impact resistance,acid and alkali resistance,water resistance,boiling resistance,and contact angle of the corresponding water-based coating films with different IHGOE mass fractions in the emulsion formulations were determined.The experimental results showed that the contact angle of the corresponding aqueous coating film was 110.794° when the IHGOE mass fraction in the shell pre-emulsion formulation was 23.61%,which was 49.2% higher than that of the pure acrylic emulsion coating film.Therefore,the hydrophobic performance of the coating film was increase.At the same time,the hydrophobic coating performance were screened out as follows:the adhesion of the coating film 0,the hardness 2H,the boiling resistance and the impact resistance qualified,the water resistance more than 48 h,the MEK wiping(1kg)more than 100 times,soak resistant to 5% NaOH aqueous solution for more than 24 h,and soak resistant to 5% HCl aqueous solution for more than 24 h.
