Research On The Operation And Management Of Garbage Sorting And Recycling Services In Beijing Communities

With the high speed of urbanization,the urban population of the world has grown rapidly,accompanying vast quantities of waste,which has become a severe issue for major cities.It is true that growing population could benefit the development of industry,manufacturing and service industry,however,it also brings a large amount of domestic waste,mainly urban waste.Well-organized recycling is beneficial to the construction of a city with highly ecological civilization,so that we are able to provide a cleaner and better place for residents.Researchers from home and abroad have carried out plenty of studies in method?incentives?cooperation and recycling expenses of waste sorting and have made some progresses in practice.However,there are many issue in waste sorting at the present stage we have to deal with —— poor efficiency in segregation?poor participation of residents?poor accuracy of recycling and high expenses of garbage management.The waste segregation in our country majorly depends on the residents' autonomous behavior which have lots of room for improvement.The studied covey that the segregation could be more effective with the help of specialized company.However this kind of service is still on primary stage so that it is hard to satisfy the needs of residents.X is a company(hereinafter referred to‘X')and Y is a community(hereinafter referred to‘Y'),both of them are the part of an area which have implement waste segregation in our country.This paper is going to present some data in garbage segregation which is totally authentic through the investigation and research to the employees and residents from X and Y.This paper will also rise current problems in waste sorting and service management and provide relevant suggestions for X on the basis of Social Exchange Theory and Service Operations Management Theory.Through the optimization and implementation of garbage classification in Y community,this study finds out that the following systems are able to improve the garbage classification recovery and classification accuracy:1)training system and service quality supervision system;2)planning and control system;3)residents supervision system.
