As a kind of concrete form of traffic oversaturation,traffic overflow is one of the important factors that affect the queuing process.When queuing vehicles overflow stretching-segment in the oversaturated widened intersection,serious interference exists in different traffic flows at the connection between stretching-segment and section.Research on overflow mechanism and control strategy is the point to relieve congestion and improve traffic efficiency.This topic to a single point of oversaturated intersection as the research object,with the measured data of the induction coil based,combination of traffic wave theory and the traditional cumulative curve method,establishment of stretching segment queue overflow recognition method and judge queue overflow and given supersaturation,block coefficient,to quantitatively measure the supersaturation of overflow imported light use efficiency.The transfer function of queue length with time variable is established,and the estimation method of the maximum length of queue overflow duration and queuing overflow is proposed.Analysis of stretching segment different flow traffic interleaving mechanism,based on traffic conflict theory and probability on queueing analysis spillover flow characteristic,that green released during traffic attenuation predicted the flow of traffic blocking probability and traffic dissipation icon.In addition,overflow equivalent saturation flow rate and phase sequence scheme are selected as optimization variables and queue optimization idea to eliminate the queue overflow in the shortest time is put forward.The signal control strategy for overflow block intersection is dynamic optimized.The effectiveness of the optimization method is verified by Synchro.The main work of this study is to.study occurring process of stretching-segment overflow,which provides a new way to describe queuing evolution law under the condition of stretching-segment with limited storage capacity.In addition,a signal control strategy is proposed to optimize the queuing overflow,which enriches the distribution method of the space-time right of way in the practical application of traffic engineering.
