Firstly, the paper discusses the source of transparency theory and traces the concept of transparency and aesthetic origin from cubism painting to the shallow depth of field space of the late impressionist paintings. The essential purpose of modern painting is to seek a new way to describe the volume of objects and scenes. In the process of development,it controls and compresses the depth of the picture space for realization of layering, complanation and distance fuzzification of picture object. Thus,it presents a new visual experience for people to feel the space in the picture. The greatest revelation of modern painting to the concept of transparency lies in the fact that it provides a completely new way of dealing with space and objects and a new way of thinking. The boundary between shape building and space presents an incomplete, uncertain, contradictory and ambiguous state. From the perspective of gestalt psychology, this provides people with the possibility of active selection, positive judgment and re-organization so as to achieve the purpose of repeatedly looking at things and interpreting them with polysemy. Then the article discusses the relevance and the historical development process of transparency of abstract art and architectural space. To rethink the core nature of transparency in the contemporary context does not stay in a transparent state or spatial experience based on visual perception, but to focus the essential connotation of transparency on the multidimensional spatial dimension and understanding of the way in which things are combined through discriminating the essential differences between the physical transparency and the phenomenal transparency ofarchitecture and space proposed by Colin Rowe and Robert Slatsky, and the subsequent scholars' analysis of transparency.Taking Corbusier's Gachet Villa and Lege's cubism as an example, this paper discusses the treatment of spatial stratification and space suggestion.Taking Haidak's Diamond House and Mondrian's paintings as an example, the relationship between flowing space and spatial ambiguity is discussed.Taking the paintings of SANAA and Malevich as an example, the relationship between shallow space, ambiguous space and transparency is analyzed.Taking Zaha Hadid and supremacy as an example, this paper discusses the relationship between the overlap, occlusion, organization and transparency of geometric space block.Based on the background of the profound changes in the way that human beings observe and perceive the world after the "information revolution",transparency can be understood as a logic for thinking about the relevance of things. And this kind of logic causes the space to be liberated from the clear, fixed, immutable cage.Seemingly fuzzy, uncertain, chaotic,it actually includes a very strict logic order. It provides a more open way of thinking about design, and promotes designers to create a more "humane space" and provide more options and autonomy for users and experiencer. Finally, from the perspective of transparency, this paper analyzes the new thinking and methods of several contemporary architects, explores the complex, dynamic, ambiguous and polysemous spatial system and formal language, and seeks the research and expression of transparency, openness, diversity, uncertainty, disorder, ambiguity, and the intrinsic connection between things. It tries to reveal that the essence of transparency may reflect people's pursuit of multiple meanings of space, aswell as the initiative and interactivity of human subjective feelings in space. The uncertainty it brings makes the space complex and ambiguous, and becomes a powerful means of making space with ambiguity and complexity.
