A vehicle collision is a strong impact of a vehicle in a short period of time,a transient and a complicated physical process.In the traffic accident,the car front,rear collision probability is highest.The bumper system is the main vehicle frontal crash under impact and energy absorption components.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to study the collision performance of the bumper system.This subject is mainly based on the development project of the parts of the bumper system of a vehicle model,and the collision performance of the bumper system is simulated and analyzed.The optimal structure of the bumper system is obtained by structural optimization,and the collision performance of the bumper system is verified by bench test for the optimized product.Firstly,the structure of the car’s bumper system,the rules and standards of automobile bumpers at home and abroad,and the status and development trends of car bumpers were studied.And then the impact performance studies of car bumpers was integrated.Secondly,based on the finite element method,HyperMesh was used as the preprocessor,LS-DYNA as the solver and LS-PrePost as the development mode of the post-processor to complete the collision simulation analysis of the bumper system.On the basis of the theoretical knowledge of collision simulation,according to the evaluation standard GB 17354-1998 of front and rear end protection devices in China,the collision simulation model of automobile bumpers and pendulums was established,and its definition and solution were carried out.Through the dynamic response of low-speed collision,the collision resistance of bumper system was analyzed.Then through the interpretation of GB 17354-1998 test method and test requirements,simulation of the vehicle collision test environment,the bumper system single product collision test specifications was set.Through the bumper system bench collision test,the protection ability of the bumper system and simulation results were once again verified.And the low-speed collision performance of bumper system is confirmed through the vehicle collision test.At the same time,the change rules of stress,deformation and energy absorption of the key components of the bumper system(anti-collision beam,energy absorption block)after the impact of the pendulum were studied.Through the analysis of the collision performance of automobile bumper system and the establishment of optimization method,it provides effective reference for the design and development of bumper system.
