Study On Sponge Campus Landscape Design

A series of problems such as floods caused by rain and loss of rainwater resources remind us that we should pay more attention to rainwater resources.As a relatively independent and unique space subsystem in the city,the campus will play a huge demonstration role in resource utilization and efficiency.With the proposal of sponge city in recent years,various colleges and universities have arranged sponge facilities in the campus to strengthen the use of rainwater.However,the overall relation between the sponge facility and the campus function space is not harmonious,and the landscape effect is poor.In this paper,the campus landscape design was carried out using low-impact development concept.Rainwater resources were integrated into the planning layout of traditional campus and the needs of teachers and students were fully considered.Based on typical cases at home and abroad,the spatial characteristics,the users,and the management of rainwater were analyzed.The advantages and disadvantages of these cases were summarized.According to the general situation of China's sponge campus,the behavior of campus teachers and students and the special nature of sponge facilities in campus space,the design methods of different spaces in the sponge campus were analyzed combined with low-impact development measures.Finally,the landscape design in China University of Mining and Technology Nanhu Campus was considered as a sample,and the ideas and methods of the research were tested.We hope that the research can contribute to the construction of sponge campus in China.
