The radial forging is a c omplicated forming process when the chamber and rifing of barrel are produced simultaneously.The geometry analysis and analytical method are used to deduct the plastic deformation of the forming process sinking zone and forging zone in this paper,and obtain analytical solution of the overall plastic strain during radial forging.At the same time,the three-dimensional model of the radial forging barrel was simulated by Abaqus finite element software to extract and analyz the cumulative plastic strain of the inner and outer surfaces of the rifle.Finally the barrel forging plastic strain and state of axial,radial and circumferential directions of were obtained.The results of analytical method and finite element analysis show that the plastic deformation changes in different directions of barrel make the forging performance have certain directionality.In order to accurately evaluate the change of plastic mechanical properties of the old and the new material of barrel,the longitudinal and transverse expansion tests were carried out on the forged barrel of different forging ratios and Q-valued.According to analysis,including the different deformation of two materials and the change of transverse plasticity of barrel before and after stress,which shows that barrel forging process has different effects on the transverse and longitudinal properties of barrel materials,and the effect can not be eliminated after the stress treatment.After barrel forging,the new and old materials increase with the forging deformation(that is increase of the forging ratio and the Q value),and the elongation and the area shrinkage rate both show a decrease trend,and the yield strength and tensile strength are improved.After the stress is removed,the axial plastic elongation and the section shrinkage of barrel are restored to the state of before forging,and the longitudinal plastic property is restored,while the transverse direction is basically not recovered.Aiming at the anisotropy of macroscopic performance after barrel forging,it is designed that one-way compression test schemes of barrel three different directions(circumferential radial,and axial)sampling,and obtaining the new and old material barrel in different radial forging processes.After the change of mechanical properties,there are obvious differences between the new and old materials in the three directions after forging.With the increase of forging deformation,the barrel macroscopic mechanics shows the radial and circumferential yield strength value are higher than the axis.It is found that the circumferential and radial specimens of the old material barrel are compressed and crushed in the 45° direction.The axial test piece fails to crush and the waist drum surface is crack-free.The circumferential performance affects the barrel forging.The post-performance is important to consider the indicator.In order to further analyze the mechanism of texture formation during the plastic deformation process of the body-centered cubic crystal of barrel,the texture of barrel after cold plastic deformation of the radial deformation was studied by texture test,and influence of the main weaving composition on the performance of barrel,it is concluded that during the radial forging process,with the increases of barrel deformation,the orientation of each grain continuously converges toward the ?-orientation line and the ?-orientation line.After barrel forging,because of the existence of two major woven components,?-texture {112}<110> and ?-texture {111}<011> are formed,so that the forged barrel is forced to slide in the radial and axial directions.Which the number of shifting systems is the largest.It is showed that the radial and axial barrels are more likely to occur in plastic deformation,and macroscopically,they exhibit the characteristics of transverse plasticity anisotropy.
