Belt conveyor is a kind of continuous transportation equipment in modern production.It has the advantages of long distance,low freight,large volume,convenient loading and unloading,low energy consumption,suitable for bulk material transportation,etc.It has been widely used in the fields of coal,mines,ports,electric power,metallurgy,chemical industry and so on,which has become the three main industrial transportation vehicles together with automobiles and trains.Due to improper installation and adjustment of belt conveyor,improper blanking at the blanking point,long-term use in harsh environment and other reasons,the belt conveyor is faulty.Once the fault occurs,it will cause a safety accident,loss of transportation materials,equipment damage,casualties and serious impact on safety production.In order to ensure safe and reliable operation of the belt conveyor,a belt conveyor monitoring system is required.At present,the belt conveyor integrated protection system can only detect and protect coal,temperature,belt speed,deviation,smoke,emergency stop,tear,etc.It does not have video monitoring function,and has problems such as incomplete monitoring and control function and poor reliability.Using CAN or RS485 bus structure,there are problems such as complicated wiring,difficult to expand,close communication distance,poor transmission reliability,etc.It can’t meet the requirements of the belt conveyor monitoring system in the “General technical specification for smart mine Information systems”(2018).The design and implementation of the slave computer of the belt conveyor monitoring system based on Ethernet are studied in this paper.Based on the design scheme of the belt conveyor monitoring system based on Ethernet,the design scheme of the slave computer of the belt conveyor monitoring system based on Ethernet(network telephone,emergency stop switch and monitoring terminal)is proposed,which has the advantages of convenient software modification and upgrade,low cost,easy expansion,and convenient maintenance.The hardware circuit of network telephone and emergency stop switch is designed by STM32F405VGT6 ARM processor chip.The software of network telephone and emergency stop switch is designed by C language.The hardware circuit of monitoring terminal is designed by S5P4418 and STM32F405VGT6 ARM processor chip.The Linux operating system was transplanted,and the software for monitoring the terminal was designed by C++ and C language.The communication protocol between the slave computer and the master computer was established,and the communication software was written.The Ethernet-based belt conveyor monitoring system was built and tested.The experimental results show that the slave computer of the Ethernet-based belt conveyor monitoring system developed in this paper increases the telephone communication function of the monitoring terminal.The modular design has the advantages of convenient software modification and upgrade,low cost,good universality and easy expansion.The slave computer developed in this paper can be used for Ethernet-based belt conveyor monitoring system,which can realize the monitoring of the belt conveyor belt speed,deviation,longitudinal tear,temperature,coal pile,emergency stop and other operational status information,as well as the functions of equipment control,telephone communication and video surveillance.It has the advantages of high transmission reliability,convenient wiring,convenient software modification and upgrade,low cost,easy expansion,long communication distance,and convenient maintenance.It can be widely used in coal,mine,port,electric power,metallurgy,chemical industry and other fields.
