A Comparative Study Of The Traditional Houses Of The Han Nationality In Shanxi And Mongolia Under The Influence Of "Going West Exit" Immigrants

With the implementation of China's rural revitalization strategy in recent years,rural construction and development have received widespread attention.However,many traditional dwellings that represent local culture and characteristics still have not received the attention and protection of the public,the regional cultural characteristics of buildings are gradually diminishing.It's particularly important that how to change the status quo of traditional dwellings,explore and protect the context and regional characteristics of dwellings,and activate the potential value of traditional dwellings everywhere.This paper is based on the historical event of “Moving Westward” immigration,by studying the route of the main place of origin of migrants at the time(the Northern Shanxi area),the people who moved to the main settlement area(the Central Inner Mongolia area),and discover the relationship between the two places in terms of physical geography,living habits,language customs,and architectural culture,taking the typical Han traditional residential buildings in the two places as the object of comparative research,attempts to compare and analyze the similarity and dissimilarity of the traditional Han dwellings in the two places on the basis of cultural homology,and explore the origin and evolutionary relationship between the Han residences in the two places.This paper uses the methods of literature survey,field surveying,typology and comparative research to investigate and survey representative Han traditional houses in northern Shanxi and central Inner Mongolia,making an inductive summary of the Han residences in the two places and Typological Atlas,and with a view to providing some superficial references for the cultural excavation,protection and development of the residential buildings in the two places.According to the immigration route and main origin and settlement place of the people from north Shanxi,select typical traditional Han dwellings in two places to conduct field investigation,and organize the research results in the form of graphs through photos,drawings,and modeling,at the same time,the analysis is combined with the actual natural and social environment of the two places,summarize the characteristics of the traditional houses of the two places in terms of plane,shape,material,structure,decoration,etc.As a theoretical and practical basis for comparative research.Comparative study first sorts out the types of traditional Han dwellings in the two places,then,the traditional dwellings of the Han people in the two places are divided into slope top dwellings,kiln dwellings,farm houses and commercial houses for comparison.Focus on the concrete comparison of the two residential forms of farm house and commercial house in terms of courtyard layout,building structure,roof form,indoor space,residential decoration.Through the summary of the research results,and make a graphic analysis of the courtyard type,structure type,roof form,etc.of the traditional houses in the two places,combing example photos,the comparison shows the similarities and differences between the traditional dwellings of the Han nationality in the two places.Finally,the future prospects for the present situation,protection and utilization of traditional Han dwellings in northern Shanxi and central Inner Mongolia are made.
