Sea mussel,Coelomactra antiquata,mainly distributed in the Western Pacific,South Korea,North Korea,Japan,coast of China and India Peninsula.Large individual,high rate of meat,tender meat,tasting sweet are C.antiquata’s adwantage.C.antiquata can be comparable with the abalone and sea cucumber.C.antiquata is a kind of very high economic shellfish.It is popular.The most prominent C.antiquata comes from Fujian province.Fujian’s C.antiquata were better than those of the other areas in individual size,succulent taste and price,so there are unscrupulous traders"shoddy".These traders deceive consumers in other areas as Fujian’s C.antiquata.Some scholars from the aspects of morphology,population genetic research found that there exist differences between Fujian’s C.antiquata and Jiangsu’s C.antiquate.This paper conducts the research from two aspects of the Fujian’s and Jiangsu’s C.antiquata.Analysis and comparison on morphological characteristics of Fujian’s and Jiangsu’s C.antiquata,the main results are as follows:1.Fujian’s and Jiangsu’s C.antiquate in appearance roughly the same,but there are great differences.Especially in the color,size,shell thickness,they have the features of easy difference.Fujian’s C.antiquate’s shell roof color is deep purple,near the top of shell color is pale purple,shell skin color is light yellow,the shell is thin,and the surface is bright and clean.Jiangsu’s C.antiquate’s shell roof color is pale purple,near the top of shell is color gray,shell skin color is grayish black,shell is thick,and the surface is not smooth.2.A linear regression relation between Fujian’s C.antiquate’s shell width and shell length is SL=1.407SW-9.998,R2=0.980.A linear regression relation between shell height and shell length is SL=2.219SH-1.274,R2=0.977.A linear regression relationship between Jiangsu’s C.antiquate’s shell width and shell length is SL=1.064SW+9.008,R2=0.941.A linear regression relationship between shell height and shell length is SL=1.638SH+11.27,R2=0.916.There are obvious different between the regression relation of Fujian’s and Jiangsu’s C.quantitative trait.Fujian’s C.antiquate’s shell width/shell length ratio is 0.4572 ± 0.0124,shell height/shell length ratio is 0.7900 ± 0.0217.Jiangsu’s C.antiuate’s shell width/shell length ratio is 0.5149 ± 0.0141,shell height/shell length ratio is 0.8219 ± 0.0187.As described in the literature,shell width/shell ratio is approximately equal to 4/5;shell height/shell ratio is approximately equal to 1/2.As a reference,we find that Jiangsu’s C.antiquate is wider and fat,in contrast,Fujian’s C.antiquata is thin.3 To analyze the differences between Fujian’s and Jiangsu’s C.antiquate transcriptome data,and the exclusion of did not read the section of the gene expression differences of data.The results found that the gene length in the 201-600nt has the largest proportion,while the two group data show similar.Both of them to get the number of annotated genes are basically the same.Fujian’s C.antiquate’s gene,a total of 20381 gene functional annotation,accounted for 24.39%of the total number of all genes.Jiangsu’s C.antiquate’s gene,a total of 19014 gene functional annotation,accounted for 25.34%of the total number of all genes.Analysis on the annotation by Nr database gene found that sequences of the two databases are the most matching to the same 9 species,and only a small amount of sequence matching to bivalve species.The lack of this and in a public database of C.antiquata species close sequence to be directly related to less annotation of gene.In accordance with |Log2(RPKM Fujian/RPKM Jiangsu)| ≥ 1 requirements of the gene,the removal of certain not read genes,17604 gene expression in Fujian’s C.antiquate is higher than the gene expression in Jiangsu’s C.antiquate,is up-regulated.8453 gene expression in Fujian’s C.antiquate is lower than the gene expression in Jiangsu’s C.antiquate,shows down-regulated.Gene expression differences in 10 or more times,10900 gene expression in Fujian’s C.antiquate is higher than the gene expression in Jiangsu’s C.antiquate,is up-regulated.5724 gene expression in Fujian’s C.antiquate is lower than the gene expression in Jiangsu’s C.antiquate,is down-regulated.Thus,the gene expression of C.antiquata in Fujian Province is far more than that the gene expression of C.antiquata in Jiangsu Province.4.Differences between Fujian’s and Jiangsu’s C.antiquata transcriptome data,some enzymes,growth factor gene in Fujian’s C.antiquata are higher than the expression in Jiangsu’s C.antiquate.These genes in the previous research conclusion are proved to be closely related to the shell and the growth of the shellfish.The evidences prove that Fujian’s and Jiangsu’s C.antiquata exist differences in morphological characters.To sum up,there are some genes in Fujian’s C.antiquata have highly expressed than in Jiangsu’s C.antiquata.These genes are related to the shell formation and the growth of the shellfish.It explains the diffences between Fujian’s C.antiquata and Jiangsu’s C.antiquata in individual size,shell thick and so on.
