The Effect Of Modified Danggui Buxue Decoction On Hidden Blood Loss After Hip Replacement In The Elderly

Objective: To observe the effect of Danggui blood supplementing Decoction on the hidden blood loss after THA.Method:30 patients with unilateral hip arthroplasty in Department of Orthopedics Hospital of Sichuan from April 2017 to December 2017 were collected,and 30 patients in the same period were matched as control group.There were 24 males and 36 females,ranging in age from 60 to 70 years,with an average age of 64.7 + 4.2 years.Each group of 30 patients,two groups of patients underwent the same routine perioperative treatment.The experimental group was given modified and Danggui blood supplementing decoction from the first day to the seventh day after operation.Intraoperative blood loss and postoperative drainage were recorded in the two groups.Blood routine examination was also performed before and on the first day,third day and seventh day after operation.According to the relevant formula,the total blood loss was calculated,and the hidden blood loss and the hidden blood loss from the first day to the third day after operation were calculated.Results:(1)there was no significant difference in RBC count between the two groups before operation(P>0.05).On the first day after operation,the RBC count in the control group was better than that in the experimental group,and the result was statistically significant(P<0.05).On the third and seventh day after operation,the red blood cell count of the experimental group was better than that of the control group,the result was statistically significant,P<0.05.(2)there was no significant difference in hemoglobin between the two groups before operation,the first day and the third day after operation,P>0.05.The hemoglobin concentration of the experimental group was better than that of the control group on the seventh day after operation,and the result was statistically significant(P<0.05).(3)there was no significant difference in hematocrit before and after operation,P>0.05.The hematocrit in the experimental group was better than that in the control group third days and seventh days after operation.The result was statistically significant(P<0.05).(4)there was no statistical difference between the two groups in the intraoperative blood loss and postoperative drainage volume,P>0.05.On the first day after operation,the hidden blood loss in the control group was better than that in the experimental group,the result was statistically significant,P<0.05.The hidden blood loss in the experimental group was significantly better than that in the control group on the first day and third days after operation.There was a significant difference between the two groups,P<0.01.The average blood transfusion volume of the two groups was not statistically significant,P>0.05.Conclusion:(1)addition and reduction of Danggui blood enriching decoction can reduce the hidden blood loss after THA in elderly patients.(2)addition and reduction of Danggui blood enriching decoction can promote the recovery of red blood cell count,hemoglobin and hematocrit.
