Purpose:Through Meta analysis, the previous relevant literatures were summarized, the effectiveness of combined traditional Chinese and Western medicine in the treatment of functional diarrhea was evaluated, and the results of Meta analysis were evaluated to clarify its credibility.Material and method:Through searching the Chinese knowledge network(CNKI),Wanfang,Weipu,China Biomedical Literature Database(CBM)database from 2000 to 2018,the randomized controlled clinical research literature(RCT),on the treatment of functional diarrhea with integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine was searched. The literature was screened strictly according to the inclusion standard and exclusion standard,Meta analysis was carried out by Rev Man5.3 software,chi-square test and I2 statistics were used to test heterogeneity. The fixed effect model or random effect model was used to analyze the included literature by Meta. The outcome indexes included: total effective rate;cure rate;total effective rate after 8 weeks of withdrawal. Results:A total of 11 randomized controlled clinical studies(1315 patients)were included,including11 literatures on the total effective rate of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine in the treatment of functional diarrhea(1315 patients). The cure rate included 4 literatures with a total of 394 patients. There were two literatures that included the total effective rate after 8weeks of withdrawal,a total of 534 patients.Meta analysis results showed that:1 The total effective rate of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine in the treatment of functional diarrhea was significantly different from that of the pure western medicine group [RR=1.21,95% confidence interval(1.15,1.26),Z=8.09,P < 0.00001],With statistical significance, the study indicates that the total effective rate of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine in the treatment of functional diarrhea is superior to that of western medicine alone.2 The cure rate of functional diarrhea treated with integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine was also significantly different from that of the group treated with western medicine alone [RR=2.42,95% confidence interval(1.58,3.70),Z=4.06,P < 0.0001],with statistical significance. The study suggested that the cure rate of functional diarrhea treated with integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine had certain advantages over that of the group treated with western medicine alone.3 Combining traditional Chinese and western medicine treatment of functional diarrhea 8weeks after discontinuation of compared with western medicine treatment group total effective rate has obvious differences [RR = 1.27,95% confidence interval(1.17,1.38),Z =5.66,P < 0.00001),statistically significant, the study suggests that combine traditional Chinese and western medicine treatment discontinuation functional diarrhea after eight weeks of total effective rate relative to the pure western medicine treatment has certain advantages. Conclusion:The total effective rate, the total cure rate and the total effective rate of the combination of traditional Chinese and western medicine in the treatment of functional diarrhea after 8 weeks of withdrawal were significantly better than that of the group treated with western medicine alone. However, further studies are needed to confirm its credibility.
