Purpose:To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of external use of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of eczema, and to summarize the rules of drug use in order to provide valuable reference for clinical practice.Material and method: Literatures published in various authoritative databases from 2008 to 2018 on the treatment of eczema by external use of traditional Chinese medicine were retrieved.According to inclusion and exclusion criteria, eligible literatures were screened out, quality evaluation and data extraction were carried out,and meta-analysis was conducted with Revman 5.3 software to evaluate the total effective rate, recurrence rate and safety. Then the data tables were established by Microsoft Excel and SPSS 20.0 software.Frequency analysis and clustering analysis were carried out for the external use of traditional Chinese medicine, and the rules of drug use were summarized and summarized. Results: 1.A total of 26 eligible literatures were screened out, with a total sample size of 2204 cases, including 1119 cases in the treatment group and 1085 cases in the control group. The total effective rate of 26 literatures was studied by meta-analysis.The results showed that OR = 3.26,95% CI [2.46,4.31],Z = 8.24(P < 0.00001).Four of them studied the recurrence rate. The meta-analysis results showed that OR = 0.06,95% CI [0.01,0.24],Z = 3.90(P < 0.0001).The analysis and comparison of the incidence of adverse reactions showed that there were six literatures with adverse reactions and treatment. There were 7 cases in group A and 11 cases in group B.2.A total of 287 prescriptions for external use were screened out, involving 326 references, including 200 Chinese herbal medicines and 2320 citations. From the point of view of external Chinese medicines for treating eczema, the main medicines are antipyretics(42.11%),antipruritic drugs(9.50%),diuresis drugs(8.84%)and antiepileptic drugs(8.44%).The first 40 Chinese medicines are counted as high-frequency medicines, and their frequencies are Sophora flavescens,Cortex Phellodendri,Fructus Cnidii,Fructus Difuzi,Alum,Fangfeng,Licorice,Zanthoxylum,Atractylodes Rhizoma Atractylodis, etc.Cold drugs accounted for 63% of the total;the first three drugs were bitter(36.5%),spicy(25.4%)and sweet(19.0%);the drugs used in meridian analysis were mainly liver meridian(22.4%),lung meridian(13.1%),heart meridian(12.1%)and spleen-stomach meridian(23.3%);40 high-frequency drugs were clustered and classified into five categories by professional knowledge. Conclusion: 1.External use of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of eczema is not only effective, low recurrence rate and relatively safe, but also has a good advantage compared with Western medicine.2.External Chinese medicines for the treatment of eczema are mainly heat-clearing drugs, poisoning and insecticidal anti-itching drugs, diuresis drugs and antiepileptic drugs;the frequency of single medication from high to low is Sophora flavescens,Cortex Phellodendri,Fructus Cnidii,Fructus Rehmanniae,Alum,Fangfeng,Licorice,Zanthoxylum,Atractylodes Atractylodis, etc. The medicinal properties are mainly cold medicines, with bitter, bitter, bitter and licorice as the main flavors. Most of them are classified as liver, lung, heart and spleen-stomach meridians. The external treatment of traditional Chinese medicine still needs to be based on dialectical treatment.
