| Purpose:This study compares acupoint application with diazepam tablets in traditional sedative and hypnotic western medicine,evaluates the difference of curative effect between them on insomnia of liver-fire disturbing heart type,and analyses the possible mechanism of acupoint application,in order to obtain a new method of treating insomnia of liver-fire disturbing heart type with traditional Chinese medicine.Material and method:To clarify the diagnostic criteria of liver-fire disturbing heart insomnia in TCM and insomnia in Western medicine.To determine the screening conditions:inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria.The patients with insomnia in the outpatient department of Shenben Hospital,Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2018 to December 2018 were screened.Sixty insomniacs were selected and randomly divided into two groups,30 in each group.All patients were scored by Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index before treatment.The treatment group was treated with acupoint application for 30 days.The drug composition of acupoint application was Salvia miltiorrhiza,Polygonum multiflorum and Clove.Honey was used as excipient.The acupoints were selected as bilateral Sanyinjiao acupoints.The time was chosen for sleeping at night.The control group was given diazepam tablets 5 mg before bedtime,which was also treated for 30 days.After treatment,the patients were scored again by PSQI.The scores of the treatment group and the control group were compared before and after treatment.SPSS software was used for data analysis and comparison.Chi-square test can be used for sex composition;Age,course of disease,scores of Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index between the treatment group and the control group before the treatment can be analyzed by homogeneity of variance to determine comparability;and then T-test can be used to analyze the difference of Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index between treatment group and control group before and after treatment to determine the curative effect.Finally,T-test can be used to compare the score of treatment group and control group after the treatment,that is,the difference of therapeutic effect between acupoint application and oral treatment of diazepam tablets.Results:1.Before treatment,the gender composition of the two groups was tested by Chi-square test,P > 0.05.The age was tested by homogeneity of variance,P > 0.05.The course of disease was tested by homogeneity of variance,P > 0.05.It can be seen that there is comparability between the two groups.2.Before the beginning of treatment,the homogeneity test of variance was performed between the PSQI scores of the two groups,all P > 0.05,with no significant difference and comparability.3.The scores of PSQI in the treatment group before and after treatment were tested by T-test,all of which were P < 0.05,the difference was obvious,indicating that the treatment was effective.4.The scores of PSQI in the control group before and after treatment were also tested by T-test,P < 0.05,the difference was obvious,indicating that the treatment was effective.5.After treatment,the PSQI scores of the treatment group and the control group were tested by T-test.In terms of the falling asleep time and daytime dysfunction,P > 0.05.The difference was not obvious.The efficacy of the two groups was similar.6.In terms of sleep quality,sleep time,sleep efficiency,sleep disturbance and PSQI total score,T-test was carried out between the two groups after treatment,all of which were P < 0.05.The difference was significant.The curative effect of treatment group is better than that of control group.Conclusion:1.The acupoint application therapy and diazepam tablets used in this clinical observation can improve the falling asleep time and daytime dysfunction in PSQI of patients with liver-fire disturbing heart type insomnia,but there is no significant difference between the two groups.The curative effect of the two methods is similar.2.The acupoint application therapy and diazepam tablets used in this clinical observation,both of them can improve the sleep quality,sleep time,sleep efficiency,sleep disorders and PSQI total scores of PSQI in patients with insomnia of liver-fire disturbing heart.And there are significant differences between the two groups.The curative effect of the former is betterthan the latter.3.Overall,acupoint application therapy can reflect its therapeutic advantages over diazepam tablets. |
