Clinical Observation Of Jiawei Wuling Powder In The Treatment Of Chronic Swelling Of The Affected Limb After Operation For Elderly Proximal Femoral Fractures

Purpose:To explore the clinical curative effect of modified Wuling powder on chronic swelling of the affected limb with proximal femoral fracture elderly patientsMaterial and method:Elderly patients with proximal femoral fractures who were surgically treated in the Department of Orthopedic of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from September 2017 to December 2019 were selected.The patients who still exist chronic swelling of affected limb after two weeks of surgery were included for observation,total 58 cases.The included cases were randomly divided into the Wuling powder group and the Maizhiling group according to the random number table.At the same time as postoperative basic treatment,the Wuling powder group was treated with modified Wuling powder,orally taken,and the Maizhiling group was administered with Maizhiling Patients were treated with oral medication for 4 weeks after leaving the hospital,2 weeks after surgery.The two groups were judged on the first day,14th day and 28th day after beginning the oral medication treatment with Harris scores,orthopaedic clinical efficacy evaluation standards,and limb perimeter measurements.Efficacy determination and statistical analysis of resultsResults:All 58 patients completed the clinical treatment,curative effect evaluation and follow-up.No cases shedding,58 cases were finally included in the statistics,including 29 in Wuling powder group and 29 in Maizhiling group.Through the measurement of limb circumference,The effect of Wulingsan group on limb swelling is better than that of Maizhiling group,the difference is statistically significant(P＜0.05).The effective rate of Wuling powder group was 86.21%,and the effective rate of Maizhiling group was 62.07%The curative effect of the Wuling powder group was better than the Maizhiling group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The effect of modified Wuling powder on the relief of chronic swelling of the affected limb after the proximal femoral fracture in the elderly was significantly improved,and the curative effect was better than that of Maizhiling group.The difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05)Conclusions:1.Modified Wuling powder has the effect of relieving chronic swelling and improving limb function of elderly patients with proximal femoral fracture;2.Compared with Maizhiling,Modified Wuling powder is more effective in reducing chronic swelling and improving limb function after fracture,which is worthy of clinical application.
