Background:In recent years,the global obesity rate continues to rise,while the prevalence of obesity related complications such as obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome(OSAHS)is also increasing.There is no doubt that obesity is one of the most critical cause of OSAHS.Simple obesity and OSAHS severely affect physical health and quality of life.Therefore,timely detection and early treatment are very important and should be paid great attention.Purpose:To observe the clinical efficacy of acupoint catgut embedding in the treatment of simple obesity combined with OSAHS,and to compare the efficacy with diet and exercise intervention,and to explore the effectiveness of acupoint catgut embedding and diet and exercise intervention in improving obesity-related indicators,sleep apnea related indicators and other aspects.The aim is to provide simpler and more effective treatment for clinical treatment of simple obesity combined with OSAHS,improve the long-term quality of life of such patients,and effectively reduce the burden of disease.Method:Fifty patients diagnosed with simple obesity combined with OSAHS in the department of acupuncture and otorhinolaryngology,xx hospital from May 2019 to January 2020 were collected,and the patients were randomly divided into treatment group and control group according to the random number table.In the treatment group,acupoint catgut embedding method was adopted,and 12 points were selected for each treatment,including Zhongwan,Shuishui,Qihai,Guanyuan,Tianshu(Shuangshu),Liangmen(Shuangshu),Liangmen(Shuangshu),And Daheng(Shuangheng),which were treated once every 2 weeks.The control group was treated with diet and exercise intervention.Both groups received 4 weeks for 1 course of treatment,and 2 courses of treatment in total.Body mass,body mass index,obesity degree,waist circumference,hip circumference,waist-hip ratio,TCM syndrome score scale,Pittsburgh sleep quality index scale and Epworth sleepiness scale of treatments were recorded before intervention,after 1 course of intervention,and after 2 courses of intervention.Sleep apnea hypopnea index,minimum blood oxygen saturation,average blood oxygen saturation,longest apnea time,and average apnea time of treatments were recorded before and after intervention.SPSS26.0 was used for statistical analysis of the data.Result:1.Baseline comparison before treatment:There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups in gender,age,height,course of disease,obesity,and degree of OSAHS(P>0.05),and they were comparable.2.The total effective rate:The total effective rate was 92.0%in the treatment group and 81.8%in the control group,with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).3.Intra group comparison:Two groups at two time points after one course of treatment and after two courses of treatment,the improvement of body mass,body mass index,obesity degree,waist circumference,hip circumference,waist-hip ratio,TCM syndrome score,Pittsburgh sleep quality index scale score,and Epworth scale score were statistically significant compared with those before treatment(P<0.05).After one course of treatment,compared with two courses of treatment,the differences in body mass,body mass index,obesity,waist circumference,hip circumference,waist-to-hip ratio.TCM symptom score,Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index scale score,and Epworth scale score were statistically significant(P<0.05);After two courses of treatment for the two groups,the improvement of sleep apnea hypopnea index,lowest blood oxygen saturation,average blood oxygen saturation,longest apnea time and average apnea time was statistically significant compared with those before treatment(P<0.05).4.Inter group comparison:After one course of treatment and after two courses of treatment,the improvement of waist circumference,hip circumference,TCM symptom score,Pittsburgh sleep quality index scale score and Epworth scale score in the treatment group was statistically significant compared with the control group(P<0.05).After one course of treatment and after two courses of treatment,the improvement of body mass,body mass index,obesity degree and waist-hip ratio in the treatment group was not statistically significant compared with the control group(P>0.05).However,the treatment group showed more improvement in body mass,body mass index,obesity degree,waist-to-hip ratio,showing a trend of statistical difference.At this time point after two courses of treatment for the two groups,compared with the improvement of the lowest oxygen saturation,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).At this time point after two courses of treatment,the improvement of sleep apnea hypopnea index,average blood oxygen saturation,longest apnea time and average apnea time in the treatment group was not statistically significant compared with the control group(P>0.05).However,the treatment group showed more improvement in sleep apnea hypopnea index,average blood oxygen saturation,longest apnea time and average apnea time,showing a trend of statistical difference.Conclusion:1.The acupoint catgut embedding method and diet exercise intervention method have good clinical effects in the treatment of simple obesity combined with OSAHS,but in terms of improving patients' waist circumference,hip circumference,TCM syndrome score minimum blood oxygen saturation,and sleep quality and daytime sleepiness,The acupoint catgut embedding method is superior to the diet exercise intervention method.2.Acupoint catgut embedding therapy has a better improvement trend in terms of body weight,body mass index,obesity,waist-hip ratio,sleep apnea hypopnea index,average blood oxygen saturation,longest apnea time,and average apnea time compared with diet exercise intervention method.3.Acupoint catgut embedding therapy for simple obesity with OSAHS has the advantages of easy operation,less treatment times and high security,and can improve the clinical symptoms of patients and improve the quality of life of patients,which has the value of further research.
