Comparative Study On The Clinical Curative Effect Of Simple Acupoint Catgut Embedding At Different Levels On Simple Obesity

Objective:catgua embedding therapy on acupoint is a method which based on the science of acupuncture and moxibustion. This therapy would have impact on stimulating collaterals, regulating qi and blood, balancing yin and yang, and regulating the inner organs through embedding catgut into points with acpunturing to treat diseases. However, reducing body weight with embedding therapy on acupoint have not normalized about which level the catgut should be put, and discuss advantage and disadvantage of embedding therapy for losing weight in different layers for simple obesity is the problem that we need to solve promptly. Therefore, this project is going to observe embedding therapy to lose weight for simple obesity patients in different layers (fat layer, muscle layer, alternatively in fat layer and muscle layer), and find out the best layer for this therapy through detecting patients’weight, body mass index (BMI), waistline, hipline and clinic efficacy.Method:put45cases who accord with inclusion criterion of this project into3groups randomly,15cases for one group and embedding therapy will be taken for these patients once a week for4times. First group is embedding in fat layer; second group is muscle group; and the third group is embedding in fat layer and muscle layer alternatively. Before treatment, we will use ultrasonic doppler to detect the thickness of patients’skin and fat, and then take treatment strictly according to the standard method of catgut embedding therapy on acupoints. Catgut will be embedded in the fat layer in first group, while the catgut will be embedded in muscle layer in the second group. For the third group the catgut will be embedded in fat layer at the first and third treatment, then in the second and forth treatment, catgut should be embedded in the muscle layer. Acupoints for treatment are Tianshu (ST25), Shuidao (ST28), Zusanli(ST36), Fenglong (ST40), Yinglingquan (SP9), Pishu (BL20), Weishu (BL21) in both sides and Zhongwan (RN12).Finally we will observe patients’body weight, BMI, waistline, hip line and clinic efficacy before and after treatment, then compare data intra-class and inter-class with SPSS17.0and conduct correlation analysis.Result:①before treatment, the body weight, BMI, waistline and hipline in these three groups have no statistical significance (P>0.05).which is comparable.②There are extremely statistical significance (P<0.01) in these three groups when compared the body weight, BMI, waistline and hipline intergroup, body weight, BMI and waistline in different layers before and after treatment;③during comparation of the intra class groups, there are remarkable significance (P<0.05).④in the third group, there are no statistical significance among inter class comparation in waistline and hip line before and after treatment,⑤comparation between before and after treatments in these three groups have statistical significance (P<0.05), which indicate that the fat layer group have better. clinic efficacy than the other two groups.Conclusion:①embedding therapy in fat layer, muscle layer and alternative layers have good clinical efficacy on simple obesity.②mbedding therapy on fat layer have better influence on reducing the body weight, BMI, waist line and efficacy than the other two groups.③there are no obvious differences on reducing hipline in these three groups.④there are less pains in fat layer, which is easier to accept for patients and easier to master for doctors.⑤fat layer has better efficacy for simple obesity may because it can act on fat tissue directly and stimulate related fat cell factors in order to lose weight.
