On Tea Songs

China is the hometown of tea and the tea culture derived from tea growers'planting,processing,drinking and trading plays an important role in China's traditional culture.The author has a taste for tea and knows a lot about tea.On the basis of various experiences of performing tea-songs and further perception,the author develops strong interests in tea-songs.Tea song is rendered as a combination of tea and music,which is an important representative of tea culture.It shows the splendid tea culture in different periods and under different backgrounds,which uncovers tea culture from ideology,traditional etiquette and historical civilization perspectives.This thesis develops along the main line of the interleaving spots among tea,tea culture and tea songs and focuses on the source of tea songs and their main themes,then further analyzes the Happy Tea-picking Song-a folk song in Gaozhou,a western region in Guangdong province to know about its artistic conception,language art,musical mode,rhythm,melody,motivation and singing skills with a view to do the author's own part in carrying tea culture forward.In order to well compose the thesis,the author conducted an on-the,spot investigation in various tea regions such as Anxi tea region in Fujian and Yannanfei tea region in Meizhou and interviewed some folk artists of tea songs.After this investigation,I greatly appreciate the rich content of Chinese traditional culture,the profound meaning of tea culture and the colorful knowledge of tea songs.
