In the cultivation of talents in colleges and universities,"aesthetic education" plays an important role in the development of human being,and it can not only cultivate sentiment,improve the quality,but also contribute to the development of intelligence,which is irreplaceable to promote the comprehensive development of college students.However,music quality education in science and engineering colleges and universities in China is facing great challenges.It is influenced by many factors such as the history of music education and the limitation of knowledge.At present,it is still in a stage of exploration.At the same time,music education is an important means to implement aesthetic education.Today's university music public class in the University of Science and Technology is still in the edge of the location of the students in the understanding of music is still at a low level.On the basis of combing the current situation of music education both at home and abroad,this paper chooses the science and engineering colleges and universities,Nanjing University of Aeronautics&Astronautics,which are universal and typical characteristics,as the focal point,and through the comprehensive understanding of the campus music environment,The motivation,the way of learning,the way to conduct the questionnaire survey and the interview,summarize the characteristics of the music education of science and engineering colleges and universities,and then put forward the corresponding suggestions and countermeasures for the shortcomings of public music education in colleges and universities.
