This thesis uses “Dan”(an seope of traditional Chinese aesthetics)as a research object.As to calligraphic art,the development of the history of calligraphy gives “Dan”a lot of rich connotations.This thesis puts the “Dan”of the calligraphy into a certain historical situation,choosing the representative calligraphers from different dynasties and their calligraphy theories and discusing them from the following three aspect: the ontology of calligraphy the creation of calligraphy and the comments of calligraphy.From the ontology of calligraphy,the calligraphic art advocates the natural expression of emotions,which contains plainness and innocence;From the creation of calligraphy,“Dan” demands “the relaxed creation mood and no intention of artifical writing technique;From the comments of calligraphy,it divids the aesthetic interpretation of “Dan”into the two aspects,which are “appearance of Dan”and “disposition of Dan”.
