With the murals of the northern wei mogao grottoes,the art film "nine colors deer" combines the buddhist images in mogao grottoes,which has a strong buddhist fresco style with its unique artistic expression and emotional color,and its distinctive artistic style and expression make it the classic work of the time.Based on the art film "nine colors deer",this paper deeply analyzes the influence of buddhist images on the art film "nine colors deer",and further elaborates the application of traditional cultural symbols represented by buddhist images in the art films to reflect on the representation methods of traditional art images in the future animation form language.This article is composed of four parts.The first chapter defines the concept of buddhist images and art films.The second chapter analyzes the application and development of buddhist images in art films.The third chapter analyses the nine colored deer "in Buddhism concrete application of the image characteristics.The fourth chapter gives the enlightenment of the application of buddhist images through the above analysis.This analysis leads to the following conclusion:The success of the "nine colors deer" shows that audio-visual language is a very modern and creative artistic means,which enables the buddhist image art to use the audio-visual language of the art film to radiate new vitality.Chinese buddhist image content system,it is large and diverse is extremely precious animation production elements,the contemporary animation creation of buddhist image represented by the application of traditional art form also need further.
