Research On The Application Of Curly Grass Patterns In Font Design

Scroll design has gone through thousands of years of accumulation and developed its unique charm.Scroll design is an important part of traditional Chinese culture,which embodies the blend of traditional Chinese thinking and art,reflects people's good wishes towards life,and plays a significant role in the field of art research.Meanwhile,Chinese character has a long history,which represents the development process of Chinese culture and carries important symbol system of Chinese civilization.This thesis discusses the origin,the evolution and the structural forms in different stages of scroll design,and interprets the structural forms of scroll design,from which the author tries to extract the typical linear characteristic of scroll design.The thesis tries to combine the linear characteristic and strokes of Chinese character,work out a set of the Twenty-Four Solar Terms fonts,and extend its usage to the design of posters and books,thus realizing the applied research of scroll design in font design.This is not only a discussion of design forms,but also a combination of the inheritance and creation of traditional culture.
