Fu Xianwen's Commentary And Research

Fu Xian's works played an important role in Western Jin Dynasty,although he wasn't as prominent as his father.The purpose of this paper is to study Fu Xian's family academic context and creative thoughts,analyze the content and artistic features of his works.This paper is divided into two parts.The first part is the study of the Fu Xian's prose.The second part is the annotations of those prose.There are three chapters in the first part.The first chapter mainly discusses the Fu Xian's family academic context and creative thoughts.The former mainly embodies in the far-reaching influence of his father Fu Xuan,which is from the respecting Confucian classics,encouraging frugality,introspection,self-discipline,stating outright and so on.The creative thoughts of Fu Xian's literary works mainly rely on Confucian classics and practicality.Fu Xian's articles includes a lot of political essays.Shangshu,Biao,Zou are the essays to disclose the era of ills,which reflects his creative thoughts emphasising on practical function,and that also focuses on discussing the politics,as well as expresses the pratical Confucian thoughts.Meanwhile,this chapter also researches that according the Confucian classics has a distinctive expression in Fu Xian's articles.The second chapter mainly discusses the content of Fu Xian's articles.There are three main types of those works.Firstly,Biao,Shangshu,Jian,Jiao,Tanhe essays embodies in the loyalty to his country and the condemnation to the era of ills.The former majorly includes the loyalty to the monarch,the concer to the people,the respect to the Confucianism and etiquette.The latter consists three aspects which are the condemnation of luxury,accusation of the ministers' misconduction,the maladies of the bureaucratic system.Secondly,Song,Zhen,Ming essays mostly incarnates the praise of Western Jin Dynasty,and Ming essays expresses his personal feelings.Thirdly,preface poetry,correspondence,epigraphic memorial speech mainly concerted on the pleasant days chatting with his relatives,which expresses his emotion about his daily life,not his life.The article features of Fu Xian's works are mainly investigated in the third chapter.There are various styles and features in Fu Xian's works.The language of letters,preface of poetry,instruction essays are simple and plain.Memorials to the throne is clear and well-arranged.Besides,Song,Zhen,Bei,Lei,Ming essays are elegant,pure and grand.The second part is the Fu Xian's works annotation,which deals with guide to the annotation main body and appendix.Guides are mainly about the explaination the annotation of Fu Xian's prose.And the text mainly includes collation,notes and comments.What's more,to replenish and perfect the appendix of Fu Xian's worksbased on the antecedent study is also necessary.
