The Shaping And Inheritance Of Urban Culture By Mass Media

Urban culture is a kind of unique temperament gradually precipitated during one city's development,which divided by space,having both the commonality of modern culture and local traditional personality.As urbanization accelerates throughout the world,urban culture plays a more significant role in urban development,whose breadth and depth of its influence are constantly expanding.The mass media,both as a cultural phenomenon and part of urban culture;serves as a conduit to present and export the city's culture as well.Therefore,grasping the relationship between urban culture and mass media is extremely important for the shaping and inheritance of urban culture.At present,urban culture has injected new momentum into urban development,although some challenges may be encountered in the excavation and inheritance of urban culture,it should be noted that the urban culture is in an opportunity of development,it is necessary to create a positive contribution to urban culture through effective ways that are compatible with modern life.The mass media is not only a carrier of the dissemination of urban culture,but also a part of urban culture and has its special social characteristics.Therefore,we should make good use of the mass media to shape,reconcile and guide the culture,and take full advantage of mass media's social communication and influence to inherit the urban culture.This article starts with the decline of urban culture,taking a local news program of SMG as an example.Starting from the spreading,influencing and communicating power of the mass media,this paper explores how to display,shape and inherit the urban culture through the mass media and promote the development of urban culture toward a healthier direction.The full text is divided into four chapters.The first chapter as an introduction mainly focuses on the background and significance of the research,as well as the research process,methods etc.to explain and summarize the relevant literature at home and abroad.The second chapter combs the related concepts and theories and provides the necessary theoretical basis for the subsequent discussion.In the third chapter,we analyze the case of example and explain how it excavates and guides the inheritance of urban culture.In the fourth chapter,taking the common view of big things considered,we draw out the general conclusion from the case analysis to provide reasonable countermeasures for shaping and inheriting the urban culture through the mass media.
