Research On The Red Fourteenth Army In Rutai District, Tonghai, Jiangsu

As the only regular army listed in the Central Red Army sequence in Jiangsu,the 14th Red Army which is under the leadership of the Party Central Committee and the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee mobilized the masses to divide the fields and carry out revolutionary guerrilla warfare in the heartland of The KMT during the Agrarian Revolution.The 14th Red Army also established the Tonghairutai Guerrilla Area which takes Rugao as the center and fought bravely on the north bank of the Changjiang river.The revolutionary guerrilla movement which is close to the ruling' center of the KMT and across the eight counties inspires the revolutionary spirit.The 14th Red Army closed the relationship between the party and the masses,created conditions for the struggle to open up bases,and cultivated a large number of revolutionary forces that have made outstanding contributions to the birth of new China even though it failed.This paper is divided into four parts which focuses on the activities of the 14th Red Army.The first part introduces the social environment of the Tonghairutai District in the early 20th century.The second part mainly introduces the establishment of the party branch and the CPC county committee of the early counties,the fight against the purge within a political party struggle,the workers and peasants movement in the Tonghairutai Distric,analyzes the characteristics of local party organizations' recovery and development after setbacks,and introduces formal establishment and development of activities of the Rugao Red Army and the nantong dongxiang guerrilla unit which is as the armed and organizational base.of the 14th Red Army.The third part mainly describes the formal establishment of the 14 h Red Army and its military construction and rectification,analyzes the armed struggle strategy formulated by Jiangsu provincial party committee and Tonghai special committee,introduces the representative armed fighting and achievements of the 14th Red Army and the attempts to divide the land and build government while carrying out armed struggle,introduced the 14th Red Army was forced to disband under the attack of the three parties.The fourth part analyzes its experiences and lessons based on the revolutionary activities of the 14th Red Army during the agrarian revolution in the Tonghairutai District,jiangsu?...
