Wang Xianfei Circular Critical Theory Research

After 1980 s,the influx of foreign criticism thought stimulated the thinking and exploration of the Chinese literary and artistic theorists,and derived a number of new mode of criticism.These patterns generally have the tendency of overly advocating or resisting the theory of western literary criticism,and it is precisely the point that Wang Xianpei put forward a literary criticism of the combination of dialectical,sensible and rational and suitable for the aesthetic qualities,aiming at seeking the interconnecting point of the Chinese and western critical thoughts.Wang Xianpei tried to open up a wider space for the present literary criticism through a "round" concept in both Western and Chinese,and put forward a more forward-looking development requirement.The paper is divided into the following parts:Introduction.The study of Wang Xianpei's theory of circular criticism is mainly studied in three aspects,such as the overall framework,one side of the theory or the critical practice of the theory,while in the study,there are still some problems,such as the neglect of the analysis and discussion of the critical concept,principle of critical theory.The first part is the theoretical origin.The theoretical origin of the circular criticism is mainly reflected in two aspects,namely,the understanding of the overall aesthetic sense of the whole,but the lack of precision in the ancient Chinese circular criticism and the rational logic but the lack of aesthetic sense of western modern literature and art.Wang Xianpei tried to combine these two theoretical resources at a higher level,forming a combination of rationality and sensibility,and suitable for aesthetic criticism theory.The second part is the critical concept.This concept is embodied in two aspects:one is the recognition of the nature of literary criticism,on the one hand,in the circle of critical thinking,and the combination of artistic thinking and abstract thinking,showing the characteristics of positive,speculative and aesthetic in the critical thinking.On the other hand,it emphasizes the unity of social history and aesthetics inthe inspection of works.Two,on the recognition of literary aesthetic characteristics,circular criticism pays attention to aesthetic feeling,and thinks that aesthetic feeling can be shared and transferable.Only when the main body of thinking is in a circular state,can the sharing and transmission of aesthetic feeling be assured.The third part is the principle of criticism.On the one hand,this principle is manifested in the state of the thinking operation of the critical subject.The circular criticism theory emphasizes the transformation of the critical subject thinking from a straight line to a circle.The operation state of this kind of thinking is mainly reflected in the process of the transfer of aesthetic feeling and the richness of the interpretation of meaning;the other is shown in the grasp of the object of criticism.By grasping the understanding and understanding of the main body's round thinking,we can form a grasp of the object of criticism in the process of dynamic circulation.The fourth part is that the interpretation of criticism.On the one hand,the meaning of text is explained and analyzed by four layers of semantic,moral,polyphony and proliferation.It is realized that the formation of text meaning is the unity of the subjective interpretation and the dynamic of the objective meaning.On the other hand,it focuses on the critical mode of seeking meaning,aiming at achieving the perfect interpretation of the meaning by absorbing the merits of each criticism.The fifth part is the practice and reflection of criticism.The operational problem of circular critical theory has become an important obstacle to the rationality of the theory.Wang Xianpei demonstrated the rationality of the theory by commenting on the works of young writers in Hubei and using the theory of circular criticism.The fundamental reason for the weak operation of circular criticism lies in the fact that theory demands too much on the subject of criticism.The concluding remarks.The circular criticism is an innovative and national critical attempt to combine with the West.It provides a macro critical view for the critics,and is a way of criticism that gradually tends to a "round" realm.
