Lyric literature as an unique and essential literary phenomenon in the history of modern and contemporary literature has always been the focus of scholars' key study.From the artistic characteristics,from the concrete writers' works to the development trend and evolution,there were endless research results,in which the contrastive study between Shen Congwen and Wang Zengqi's lyric novels are worthy of given special attention.Sheng Congwen and Wang Zengqi who are admitted by publics by their lyrical writers,because of their relationship in academic continuation.Universally,scholars believe that Wang Zengqi's writings are greatly influenced by his teacher-Shen Congwen.Honestly speaking,there are many common points we can find from their creations regarding the theme of the novel lyric style,lyrical style and so on.In other words,we can say that Wang Zengqi was deeply influenced by Shen Congwen.However,how does the creation of Shen Congwen influence Wang's writing specifically,the existing research results are fow.A writer's creation is influenced by many aspects,like his personality literary ideal,age background and others.The formation of personality is tightly connected with his own life experiences,environment,creative psychology and so on.All these factors are externalized to form the external conditions that will affect the creation of the works,and internalized to form the writers' nature or personality and then influence the formation of the aesthetic style of the works.Shen Congwen and Wang Zengqi,they lived in an age that over half a century,their works belong to two different literary development stage.Therefore,whether the life experiences grow environment or literature ideal and creation psychology has shown some certain sameness and differences,which have become the essential factors in continuation of the relations between the two.The succession relations between Shen Congwen and Wang Zengqi to same extent reflects,some problems of the development of modern lytic literature.The Modern lyric literature,as a special literary phenomenon,it started from the enlightenment and developed in the New Culture Movement.It experienced the prosperity in 30s,the interruption after 40s and prosperity again in 80s.Why did it develop like that?Why is the lyric literature undeveloped in Chinese modern literature?Is it became the narrative become the mainstream in the Chinese new literature?Which leads to lyric literature's development has marginalized?Or because the current social environment cannot breed a large number of individualized lyric novels?Is it a personal cause or a factor of the age?The focus of this thesis is that the author will emphasis on lyric novels of Shen Congwen and Wang Zengqi.At first,the author will compare their concrete text carefully.Then analyze the similarities and differences between the works,and further clarify the continuation of the relationship between the two.Based on it,the author will try to think about the special phenomenon and related issues of lyric literature in modern literary history.
