A Preliminary Study Of Banana Leaf Patterns On Bronzeware From Shang And Zhou Dynasties

Banana leaf pattern is popular in the late Shang Dynasty to Eastern Zhou Dynasty.It has a special shape,a large number,and a long time of popularization.It plays an important role in the decoration of bronze wares of the Shang and Zhou dynasty.Compared with the animal motifs of the same period,its ornamental style and distribution pattern are unique.The ornamental characteristics,distribution patterns and time characteristics of the banana leaf pattern have important reference significance for the study of the bronze dynasty and bronze connotation in this period.This paper selects the banana leaf pattern on the bronze wares from the late Shang Dynasty to the late Warring States period as the research object.The bronze wares decorated with banana leaf pattern were collected and arranged during this period,using archaeological typology method,the banana leaf pattern on the bronze wares of the Shang and Zhou dynasties was formally divided and divided into generations.To study the shape and evolution of banana leaf pattern,the banana leaf pattern was divided into two types of four types according to the shape system characteristics.According to its evolution characteristics,it was divided into five sections and three phases.The artistic value and aesthetic value of banana leaf pattern were analyzed from the point of view of art decoration.The political,religious and cultural factors in Shang dynasty and Zhou dynasty were used to discuss the development and distribution patterns of banana leaf pattern and cultural characteristics.This article consists of the following seven parts:The first part is the research status of banana leaf pattern.So far,there has been no systematic review and study of banana leaf pattern in related records and research data.This section will summarize the research results of previous scholars on geometrical ornamentation over the years,and learn and use its experience and methods.In the second part,typological analysis of banana leaf pattern and staged generation.According to the characteristics of its shape and evolution,banana typology was divided into typology and its shape system characteristics were summarized.Based on the division of the banana leaf pattern,the evolution of the banana leaf pattern is divided into five stages.The shape and evolution characteristics and decorative features of the banana leaf pattern at each stage can be divided into three phases,and the general development pattern of the banana leaf pattern can be summarized..In the third part,the distribution of banana leaf pattern on bronze ware.Through the statistics of banana leaf decorators and ornamental locations,the law of the distribution of banana leaf patterns on the distribution of artifacts was revealed,and the relationship with the major decorators was explored.In the fourth part,the interior of banana leaf pattern was analyzed.The classification and discussion of different types of fill patterns in banana leaf pattern is an important part of studying the changes and evolution of banana leaf pattern.The diversity of banana leaf pattern changes is revealed through the distribution proportions and decorative features of various types of fill patterns.The fifth part is the decorative art of banana leaf pattern.From the point of view of art and art,the artistic design and aesthetic value of banana leaf pattern were analyzed,and banana leaf pattern was recognized as an important artistic achievement of bronze culture.Part six,the cultural connotation of banana leaf pattern.Based on the analysis of all kinds of internal filling banana leaf pattern line culture analysis and the symbol of the banana leaf pattern,it reveals the social and religious ideology of banana leaf pattern.Part seven,discusses other questions about the banana leaf pattern.Through the analysis of location factors of banana leaf pattern,the relationship between the contrast and the triangular pattern of the banana leaf pattern,combination of banana leaf pattern coexist with the decoration collocation art,further research on banana leaf pattern.Based on the above aspects,banana leaf pattern collation,research and analysis,try to summarize the distribution and evolution of this kind of decoration,and analyzing the underlying connotation and symbolic significance from the viewpoint of art and culture,I hope that through this study,the Shang Dynasty bronze research provides a certain reference value.
