Based on the quasi experimental study of unequal group pretest and post test,and guided by the theory of whole brain thinking,constructivism,mind map teaching,knowledge visualization and related theory results of grammar learning,according to the requirements of grammar ability in the English curriculum standards for junior high school students,this paper selected the mind map as the experimental tool and an experimental study on the application of mind mapping as a teaching strategy was carried out in two classes of grade seven.The purpose of this study is to design a set of mind mapping methods suitable for junior high school students in English grammar teaching,to stimulate and maintain students' interest in learning English,and to improve their academic performance.According to the results of the study,the conclusions as follows:1?English grammar instruction in mind mapping promote students'English academic achievements effectively.2?English grammar instruction in mind mapping promote students'English interest.3?Most students have positive attitudes toward English grammar program in mind mapping according to students' feedback.4?Mind mapping by groups are superior to the ones by individual.Based on the research conclusion,suggestions are given on courses,teaching and researches and my serve as further references for teachers and researchers.
