The Enlightenment Of Lu Yan's Sketching From Life In Fujian And Zhejiang

As a country with venerable,broad and profound ancient civilization,China occupies a very high status in the history of world culture.In the course of development,Chinese civilization has left behind a large number of brilliant and glorious achievements.However,some of these antique facing the severe test and baptism of the past years have broken down due to the lack of protection,which has evoked great regrets in many people's mind.As one of the younger generation of Lu Yanshao and a practitioner of the creation of Chinese painting,the author of this thesis has determines to become a guardian of Chinese civilization as Master Lu,aspiring to study,inherit and carry forward the national culture throughout his life.A lot of inspiration brought by the masterpiece of Lu Yanshao The Sketch Series in Fujian and Zhejiang,I have created the painting series The Light of Civilization,which aims to witness,study,inherit and carry forward the national heritage of China.Traditional Chinese painting and ancient architecture are regarded as an important part of Chinese ancient culture.It is an excellent way to witness and inherit Chinese civilization by using traditional Chinese painting to show the great achievements of Chinese ancient architecture.The painting series The Light of Civilization have been creating since the second-year undergraduate for over 5 years by the author of this thesis.On the one hand,the world and the later generations will better understand Chinese civilization through the painting series The Light of Civilization;the subject matter of Chinese painting will be widened through the introduction of the achievements of ancient Chinese architecture;the exploration and experiment in some new techniques has greatly improved the author's techniques in traditional Chinese painting.On the other hand,we should awaken and strengthen people's awareness of the protection of some places of historic interest through the representation and vivid record of these precious traces of ancient buildings in China,so that we can enjoy the treasures of human civilization together with our posterity and these ancient buildings will once again usher in the new glory and brilliance.So far,the finished works of the painting series The Light of Civilization are “A Sacred Forest of Tibet”,“The Sacred Sites of Songtsen Forest”,“The Temple of Potalaka Doctrine in Spring Again”,“The Sacred Landscape of Canyan Mountain”,which are sketched and created respectively for the Songzanlin Temple of Shangri-la,Diqing,Yunnan;the Temple of Potalaka Doctrine of Chengde;the Temple of Confucius in Qufu,Shangdong.In the near future,I will continue to create paintings for the Dujiangyan Dam of Sichuan and the Potala Palace of Tibet.This thesis is mainly dwelled on two finished works of my created paintings: “A Sacred Forest of Tibet” and “The Temple of Potalaka Doctrine in Spring Again” from the painting series The Light of Civilization.I will elaborate on the process of my creation and share my valuable experience.
