At present,China is in a period of fast economic development and comprehensively deepening reform,undergoing a huge social transformation.Thus,people's lifestyle and material needs,as well as their mental demands have changed.A series of conflicts between morality and interests have brought about the diversification of moral standards and the alternation of moral concepts and so on,which affect the social welfare undertakings,especially the pension section.The traditional pension model-family supporting will be no longer adapt to public needs.Therefore,social pension industry comies into being,including institution endowment.By elucidating the definition,characteristics and ethic values of institutions for the aged,this paper explains the nature of public welfare of institutions.However,there are still some ethical issues in the current institutional endowment model.Life service quality in different institutions varies a lot.Spiritual concern is plain in essence.There is a big gap about combination of medical treatment and endowment between institutions.Filial piety is not well presented.Ethic literacy of nursing staff needs to be improved.Based on the current situation of institutional endowment model,this paper points out that deep-rooted concept of traditional pensions,the imbalance between fairness and efficiency,interest first as management philosophy,weak supervision and management system and unsound talent training mechanism cause these ethical issues.To address these problems,this paper proposes countermeasures for pensioners,governments,and pension institutions.Only through concerted efforts can current ethical issues be settled.Moreover,pension industry can develop healthily and sustainably.
