In Xiangxi,the hometown of song and dance,everyone in the Miao family likes to sing.Whether it is sacrifice,wedding or funeral,or young men and women fall in love,they will sing songs.Xiangxi Miao Ethnic Group's folksong is the Miao people organize the Miao language in a conscious way,sing the feelings of heart with a simple lyrics melody to reflect or eulogize life.Miao song has always recorded the historical evolution and social life of the Miao nationality in Xiangxi,and it expresses the enterprising spirit and moral character of the Miao people,which is a vivid part of the real life of the Miao people in Xiangxi.It is also one of the most attractive art forms in the folk music culture of the Miao nationality in Xiangxi.Xiangxi Miao Ethnic Group's folksong is not only rich in content,complete in form structure,but the singing skills are unique.No matter the vocal method or the use of moistening,they all have a strong national color and a profound cultural accumulation.Xiangxi Miao Ethnic Group's folksongs were listed in the national intangible cultural heritage list published by the State Council in 2008.Therefore,this paper studies the singing characteristics of Xiangxi Miao Ethnic Group's folksong,which can not only enhance the national spirit,singing ability and singing aesthetic ability,but also adapt to the development of the times,so that more and more people are familiar with this wonderful singing.For those reasons,the singing characteristics of the Miao Ethnic Group 's folksongs have a high research value.This paper will discuss them in four chapters:Chapter 1 introduces the background and significance of the topic,classifing and summarizing the current studies of domestic and foreign experts and scholars,and briefly summarizing the research methods of the thesis.It lays a theoretical foundation for the thesis.Chapter 2 probes into the origin of Xiangxi Miao Ethnic Group's folksongs from the historical origin and the theme classification of Xiangxi Miao Ethnic Group's folksongs.The music characteristics of the Miao Ethnic Group's folksongs in western Hunan will be state two parts:the music creation and the musical characteristics,which lays the groundwork for the next chapter—the singing characteristics of Xiangxi Miao Ethnic Group's folksongs Chapter 3 probes into the special singing methods of the Miao Ethnic Group's folksongs in the west of Hunan,and in light of the author's major,analyzes and generalizes the singing characteristics of the folk songs of the Miao nationality in the west of Hunan from the aspects of singing form,singing methods and techniques,singing tone and so on.The singing method of Xiangxi Miao Ethnic Group's folksong has a unique vocal skills,a Miao song has many obvious alternative vocalizations combined with authentic voice and falsetto to make the sound twinkling.This singing method endows the Xiangxi Miao Ethnic Group's folksong with infinite charm and extremely characteristic singing style."Gao Qiang" and'Ping Qiang" are the main songs in Xiangxi Miao Ethnic Group's folksong.The frequent use of decorative sounds combined with the complex tone system of Miao songs and the unique features of embellished cavity forme the local style of folk songs of Xiangxi Miao nationality.The last Chapter is a reflection on the inheritance and development of the Miao folk songs in western Hunanincluding the art value of Xiangxi Miao folk song and the inheritance status,and the expectation of the protection and development of Xiangxi Miao Ethnic Group's folksong from the protection and active exploration of Xiangxi Miao song connects to modern societ y to prospects.Combined with the profession and the experience of singing Miao songs,the author has some unique views on the singing of the folk songs of the Miao nationality in Xiangxi.For example,in the singing of Xiangxi Miao folk songs,the author has benn considered and explored the characteristics of lyrics,the embellished voice and the lining words,the breath resonance and so on.In particular,the thesis summarizes the unique singing methods of Xiangxi Miao Song with the theoretical knowledge of vocal music.The main purpose of this thesis is to provide learners who sing Xiangxi Miao Ethnic Group's folksong with a theoretical reference,so that more people can understand the singsing of Xiangxi Miao song and can better inherit and protect the Xiangxi Miao Ethnic Group's folk songs.
