Research On Astronomical Imagery In The Book Of Songs

As the first anthology of poetry in China,the Book of Songs is widely recognized of great cultural value in the world,and the study of the Book of Songs has also become a profound and comprehensive knowledge.On the study of poetic images of the Book of Songs,many scholars of later ages have been making unremitting efforts and tried to bring forth new ideas by interdisciplinary researches,which have made great achievements in the image researches of animals and plants.However,the researches on astronomical images still remain weak,and people lack a deep understanding of it.Therefore,on the basis of predecessors' researches,the thesis gives a comprehensive and systematic investigation on the astronomical images of the Book of Songs from multidisciplinary angles such as cultural semiotics,ethnology,anthropology and so on,discussing the profound connotations of astronomical images in the Book of Songs and influences on the production and livelihood of people of Zhou dynasty,so that we can have a better understanding of their emotional experiences and life forms.Except for the introduction and conclusion,the thesis consists of four chapters.The first chapter gives an overview of the astronomical images of the Book of Songs.Firstly,the author has defined the concepts of image,astronomy and so on,which has laid foundation for what followed.Then the author classifies and analyzes the contents of astronomical images in the Book of Songs respectively.Finally,the author analyzes the close relationship between astronomical images and the life of the people of Zhou dynasty.It can be seen that the astronomical imagery of the Book of Songs is rich in expressions,which extends the content of poetry and enhances the expressive force of poetic language.The astronomical images are closely related to the life of the people of Zhou dynasty,and it provides a channel of understanding and expression in the aspect of climate and emotional expression for them.The first chapter is basically an introduction to following parts.The second chapter focuses on the astronomical images of the Book of Songs as the function symbol of the meaning of the poems,understanding the astronomical images of the Book of Songs from a comprehensive scale,deeply analyzing its different emotions and functions reflected in different types of poems,and interpreting its rich emotional connotation and profound implication.Firstly,the author analyzes the relationship between the astronomical images of the Book of Songs and the love poems of marriage and love,and points out that the astronomical images have different manifestations in the free love poems,the abandoned wife poems,marriage life,the marriage customs and so on.Secondly,the author analyzes the labors and thinking women can be explored.Finally,the author analyzes the relationships between the astronomical images and other poems in the Book of Songs,which has reflected various expressions of astronomical images.The third chapter analyzes the causes of astronomical images of the Book of Songs as a symbol of profound connotation.Firstly,the astronomical view has been traced from the ancient people's lives in Zhou dynasty as the symbol of time,and reflect the lives as the power of nature,and enriches the life content of the people as the gift of nature.Through the close interaction between people of Zhou dynasty and the astronomical images,it can be concluded that there is harmony between man and nature,which shows great referential significance to later generations.In a word,the Book of Songs is a great anthology of poetry,and the astronomical images of the Book of Songs has multiple meanings and values.
