Focus On Moral Emotions�The Opportunities And Achievements Of The Development Of Moral Psychology Under The Perspective Of The Upsurge Of Emotional Research

Moral Psychology,chronically prompted by the monorail drive of moral cognition,is confronted with a series of difficulties and challenges,and needs a brand-new theoretical guidance and self-innovation urgently.Since the 1990s,the Moral Psychology has entered a primary stage in emotional research with the increasing enthusiasm in emotional study.Human began to explore the function and the value of emotion in the theoretical and empirical filed,thus the emotional and moral-related outcomes present a"skyrocketing" increase.With several times of communication between emotion and morality,Moral Psychology has got a new chance for research-moral emotion.Based on an elaborate classification in moral emotion both at home and abroad,the current situation of moral emotion study will be introduced comprehensively in this paper.Compared with the tradition-oriented Moral Psychology,current researchers are commonly concerned about the values and functions of moral emotion.As for the research method,subjective reporting and cognitive neuroscience are the main methods of current research.On the theoretical orientation,social functionists put their focus on the social function of moral emotion;constructivists maintain that moral emotion is the result of the construction of basic emotion and social interaction;cognitive-evaluationists has unified the cognitive-evaluation mode which is derived from moral emotion from the perspective of attribution.In terms of the current research condition of moral emotion,this paper put focus on summarizing and discussing the evolving theory,function and limited generalization of moral emotion.Moreover,it will make a brief introduction of the influence of moral emotion on the development of Moral Psychology in the research.As a kind of conceptual category,moral emotion embraces some discrete emotions,like pride,guilt,shame,gratefulness,nobleness,disgust,defiance and sympathy etc.The researchers have conducted a large number of theoretical and empirical explorations in terms of inducing conditions,subjective experiences,physiological and behavioral responses of these emotions,and their psychological and behavioral effects,which forms the main frame of the core component of moral emotion.The moral barometer is the basic moral function of moral emotion.Besides,moral emotion exerts positive influence on individual moral cognition and moral behavior.However,the passive moral emotion entails negative effect on mental health and irrational behavior,which also indicates the complexity and limitation of moral emotion and needs supervising and regulating.Moral Psychology values and explores the development of moral emotion,which possesses essential theoretical values and realistic values.In terms of the theoretical values,the return of the moral emotion is the inexorable trend of the development of the Moral Psychology which had already established its basic framework.The reconciliation between emotion and theory makes Moral Psychology step on an integrative development road.The moral emotion is also instructive and practical in education,consultancy,and business management.The significances of this research are as follows.First of all,it is of great reference value to make up for the historical gap of the whole theory of moral emotion.Moreover,there is certain impetus to the future innovation of moral psychology theory and empirical inquiry thinking.Finally,it is enlightening to form a rational moral emotion view.Of course,the study of the moral emotion has its flaws either,which needs to be further strengthened in the future research.Firstly,cross-cultural issues should be taken seriously.Secondly,the basic theory and the empirical study still need strengthening.Thirdly,pay attention to the personality conditioning of moral emotion.Fourthly,as for researching methods,the measurement of moral emotion needs more objective "golden standard".Finally,strengthen the integrative research of moral emotion and moral cognition.
