A Study On The Implicit Attitudes Of Women With Fat Negative Body Ego

The purpose of this study was to investigate the implicit attitudes of women with fat negative physical self,using the EAST paradigm,and setting up three experiments.The experiment is divided into a learning phase and a formal experiment phase.During the learning phase,participants are required to learn different attitudes(positive/negative,approach/avoidance)and different color frames(blue/green)and different keys(F/J).Different frame colors and different buttons represent different attitude meanings;in the formal experiment stage,information related to self concept,body type,and food is presented in the frame,and the subject is required to make corresponding keys according to the color of the frame.Responsiveness,recording the correct rate and response time data in each test.Experiment 1 aims to explore the implicit attitude of participants to the self-concept.The attitude of the learning phase is divided into positive attitude and negative attitude.In the formal experiment,"self-related concept words" or "non-self related concept words" appear in the frame,and the results show that the women with negative physical self are more inclined to self-negative attitude.Experiment 2 aims to explore the implicit attitude of participants towards the type of figure.The attitude of learning stage is divided into positive attitude and negative attitude.In the formal experiment,the "ideal-thin figure image" or the"normal figure image" appears in the frame.The results show that the women with negative physical self are more inclined to positive attitude toward "ideal-thin figure",but tend to classify the normal figure as obesity and have a negative attitude.Experiment 3 aims to explore the implicit attitude of the participants to food.The attitude of the learning stage is divided into a trend attitude and an avoidance attitude.In the formal experiment,a "high-fat/high-calorie food image" or"low-fat/low-calorie food image" appears in the frame.The results show that the women with negative physical self tend to avoid high-fat/high-calorie foods and approach to low-fat/low-calorie foods.The results of the study indicate that the negative attitude of women with fat negative physical self towards self encourages them to be more relevant for body-related upward comparisons,and actively approves ideal thin body type.,thus showing behavioral avoidance of high-fat foods and approach to low-fat foods.
