Negative emotions are the main psychological factors that lead to individual drug addiction and relapse.Developing more studies on the negative emotions of drug addicts is conducive to further improving the success rate of drug addiction.In this study,drug addicts in compulsory detoxification centers were used as subjects.Interviews and "Profile of Mood State Short Form" were used to investigate the negative emotional status of drug addicts.Based on this,group counseling was used to decrease their negative emotions.Firstly,41 drug addicts were interviewed by means of a self-designed interview outline to understand their living conditions and negative emotional performance.Then,360 drug addicts were collectively tested to conduct the survey to explore the characteristics of their negative emotions through a convenient sampling method.Finally,16 members were screened and assigned to the intervention group and the control group.The intervention group took a group counseling for 8 weeks.The control group did not interfere during this period.The effect of group counseling was evaluated by comparing the two groups before and after the test and the one-month follow-up test.At last,came to the following conclusion:(1)The types of negative emotions of drug addicts are diverse and the reasons involved are complex.At the same time,they lack the ways to effectively adjust negative emotions;(2)The age,educational level,marital status,occupational status,and time spent on drug addiction will affect negative emotional experience;(3)Drug addicts generally had worse negative emotions than normal people;(4)Group counseling can effectively improve the negative emotions of drug addicts and have a certain effect of maintaining.Overall,this study not only reports on the status of negative emotions among drug addicts,but also provides practical experience and feasibility methods for improving their negative emotions.
