In today's society,there is no permanent knowledge.Only by continuous learning,can people keep up with the development of society.Reading is an important means of learning.The positive emotional attitude in reading plays a very important role in the continuing study and lifelong development of the students.Sue Home Linsky once said:"the interest in learning is an important driving force for students to carry out complex cognitive activities." Students can only experience happiness in reading,and they can have a constant source of motivation in studying.Therefore,when teaching,in addition to work out the immediate goal of teaching,the teachers should also pay attention to training students to get a positive emotional experience when reading.The paper is based on the facts of English reading teaching in H primary school where the writer works.This paper anlysises which blocks the development of English reading teaching in H primary school through interviewing with English teachers and surveying students from Grade 6 to Grade 3.The teachers uncorrectly understanding about reading teaching,the overload working of the teachers,"environment" and restricted examination system which all greatly hinder practical reading teaching.The paper is carried out on the basis of a large number of related research and teaching theories,as well as the analysis and summary of the actual situation of H primary school English.
