The Narrative Characteristics Of Chinese Historical Documentaries Since The New Century

Although the documentary always adheres to the bottom line of “authenticity”,we still see rich artistic expressions and colorful narrative strategies in the historical documentaries of the new century.This paper focuses on the narrative features of historical thematic documentaries since the new century.After confirming the topic of the thesis,the author refers to some predecessors' literature and combines some historical documentaries that are well-received by the word of mouth.This paper presents a more detailed demonstration of the narrative strategies of Chinese historical documentaries since the new century.In the introduction part,first of all,it briefly summarizes the domestic research status of narratives of Chinese historical documentaries,and then elaborates on the research significance and research methods of this article.The second chapter briefly describes the evolution of narrative strategies from the 1950 s and 1960 s to the new century.The third chapter is the focus of this paper,which is the narrative feature of Chinese historical documentary since the new century.This chapter is divided into four sections.The author analyzes some outstanding historic documentary works from the new century,from their narrative methods and narratives.Four aspects of structure,narrative method,narrative techniques,and narrative angles illustrate the narrative features of Chinese historical documentaries since the new century.In the fourth chapter,mainly combining with the current social background and the characteristics of the narrative development of historical thematic documentaries in the past half century,this paper expounds the development trend of the narrative development of future Chinese historical documentaries.
