Studies have shown that individuals exhibit less prosocial behavior when they are in self-depletion,but not all prosocial behaviors decline.Because,in the self-depletion state does not mean that the psychological resources or self-control resources are completely exhausted, when the individual's self-depletion does not exhaust all resources, and there are enough self-control resources to help others,Factors such as the individual's own wishes or personality traits can affect the appearance of pro-social behavior.Ana then what kind of method can alleviate the decline in prosocial behavior is worth considering.Previous studies mostly used external factors to alleviate the decline of prosocial behavior. This study started from the internal factors of the individual and adopted the two factors of viewpoint selection and empathy to ease the decline of prosocial behavior under self-depletion.This study used experimental methods and questionnaires to study the prosocial behaviors of individuals in the state of self-depletion,and whether it could alleviate the decline of prosocial behaviors by initiating perspective selection and empathy. In study one,the 'e' task triggered two groups of participants(61 in total)with low self-depletion and high self-depletion status. The donation task was used to measure the prosocial behavior of the participants. The results showed that in the state of high self-depletion,the individual's prosocial behavior will be significantly reduced. In study 2,after the participants were induced to have high self-depletion by drawing an 'e' task, the four groups of subjects showed whether they started perspective taking and empathizing (2*2),and then measured the prosocial behavior of the subjects through the donation task. The results of the study indicate that(1)in the state of high self-depletion,through the initiation of empathy and perspective taking, the level of empathy and perspective taking can be improved, and the decline in prosocial behavior can be alleviated;(2)In the condition of high self-depletion,the induction of single factor through empathy or perspective taking has no significant difference with the prosocial behavior after the two are initiated.Based on the above empirical results,it can be concluded that in the state of self-control resource depletion, the individual easily leads to self-control failure and less prosocial behavior. At this point, looking at the problem from the perspective of others and experiencing the emotions of others can effectively alleviate the decline in prosocial behavior.
