A Probe Into Basic Locality Words In Yi Language

Direction words are the most basic and frequently used words which used to express spatial positional relationships,and they are also closely related to human life and thinking.The paper takes the basic direction words "East,West,South,and North" of Yi Language as the main research object,and analyzes the basic direction words of Yi language by describing the phonetic forms,word formation patterns,core morphemes,and semantics of Yi language.The characteristics of different dialects' direction words are compared in the paper in order to deepen the understanding of the characteristics of phonology,semantics,and cultural connotations,and enrich the research results of basic direction words in ethnic languages.The paper mainly uses a combination of description and comparison methods to collect the basic direction words of the Yi language,and to introduce the cultural connotations of the Yi people's azimuth.The phonetic forms,word formation patterns,and core morphemes of the basic direction words in different dialects of are respectively described and analyzed.On this basis,we deeply discuss the semantic features,and analyze the motivation of basic direction words.By comparing the basic direction words of different dialects of Yi language,it is explored whether there are commonalities and differences between the verbal forms,formation patterns,core morphemes and semantics of Yi language.The full paper is divided into seven parts:The introduction part mainly introduces the research significance of the paper and the object of study,the research status of direction words in Yi language branches,and the source of research methods and corpus.The first chapter focuses on the cultural interpretation of the Yi people's direction.Through analyzing the relationship between the Yi people's direction and the five elements,the Eight Diagrams,the color,and the spirit,it explores the cultural features of the basic direction words in the Yi language.Chapters ? to V mainly describes the phonetic forms,word formation patterns,core morphemes,and semantics of the basic direction words in Yi language,and explore the motivation of the basic direction words.At the same time,analyze the characteristics of each aspect of basic direction words,and compare them to observe whether they have commonalities and differences.The conclusion part mainly summarizes the phonetic forms,word formation patterns,core morphemes,and semantics of the basic direction words in Yi language.It also explains the features of basic direction words in terms of language and culture,and reveals whether or not the basic direction words of Yi language exist commonalities and differences.
