Huang Yao(1917——1987)was one of the backbone and active promoter of China's modern comics movement in the 1930 s and 1940 s.He is famous for his artistic image of Niu Bizi.After the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War,Huang Yao went to Chongqing from Shanghai and established an independent publishing house in the local area called The People's Publisher to set the independent mode of the propaganda of civil war.During the period from 1938 to 1941,Huang Yao created and published a large number of publications that reflected the Anti-Japanese War theme in the operation of The People's Publisher,which represented the peak of his art creation.It played an important role in popularizing the anti-war propagating and mobilizing propaganda work for local people and soldiers.He also made important contributions to the liberation of the Chinese nation and the victory of the world anti-fascist war.This paper focuses on the in-depth interpretation and research of The People's Publisher founded by the artist Huang Yao in Chongqing in early 1938 and the relevant publications in this period.Based on these publications contents and artistic language,to explore Huang Yao in wartime complex community scene and the mixed media of art production sites how to adjust and innovate the way of creation.Then discusses the war artist personal expression and the conflict and balance of realistic environment.real conflict problem.In addition,Huang Yao chooses a private business publishing model that is different from the official form which is also highly institutionalized for wartime study on the relationship between the state and the artist's social environment provides another perspective.
