Since Buddhism was introduced into China,there has been a long-term dialogue and integration among Buddhism and Confucianism and Taoism while Confucianism and Taoism are considered to be the mainstream of Chinese traditional culture.Until the Northern Song Dynasty,the integration of the three religions,especially the integration of Confucianism and Buddhism,has been gradually improved and finally formed.Monk Qi-song was one of the most representative figures who promoted the integration of Confucianism and Buddhism in this period.On the one hand,Qi-song is well acquainted with the Confucian classics.On the other hand,he deeply studies the Anti-Buddhism theories and the protection of Buddha Dharma thoughts in the past dynasties.After making clear the special background of Confucian's Anti-Buddhism movement in Song Dynasty,Qi-song made a precise and powerful response to the Anti-Buddhism movement at that time.This act directly contributed to the comprehensive and systematic completion of Qi-song's philosophy of integration between Confucianism and Buddhism.This article first takes the history as the clue,narrates the historical origin of the integration of the three religions and the integration of Confucianism and Buddhism in each period.From the ideological trend of "the integration of Confucianism and Buddhism" opened since the Han-Wei-Jin dynasties,to examine the origin of the integration of Confucianism and Buddhism of Qi-song.Secondly,it analysed the connotation of Qi-song's philosophy of integration between Confucianism and Buddhism from the angle of "Theory".Based on Tan Jin Collected Works written by Qi-song as text basis,this paper classifies and discusses Qi-song's philosophy of integration between Confucianism and Buddhism in three aspects include in "Interpretation of The Mean"," Concept of Filial Piety" and "Theory of mind-nature".Thirdly,from the "Practice" level to explore the rich connotation of Qi-song's philosophy of the integration between Confucianism and Buddhism.From classic texts and historical clues,this paper explores the ideological connotation in some aspects,such as the political governance and moral ethics.Finally,the paper expounds the historical influence of Qi-song's philosophy of the integration between Confucianism and Buddhism.This paper explains the remarkable influence of his thought on Song-Ming Confucianism and later Buddhism.Besides,this paper also discusses the relationship between the integration of Confucianism and Buddhism and the movement of "Human Buddhism" rising in the mainland China,Hong Kong and Taiwan in modern times,in order to clarify the practical meaning of the integration of Confucianism and Buddhism in the aspect of cultural integration.
