Research On Authentic Discourse Markers

Discourse marker is a language phenomenon that plays an important role in everyday communication.Real discourse markers are important to express the truth of what we said.We base on the definition and characteristics of discourse markers using the discourse analysis method to study the real discourse markers from a macro perspective and selecting four higher frequency discourse markers from the four modern Chinese languages.They are “bu man ni shuo”,“shuo zhen de”,“shuo shi zai de” and “shuo shi hua”.First of all,we define the real discourse markers from the macro point of view.On the basis of this,we study its interpersonal function,discourse function and contextual adaptation function.Real discourse marks have four interpersonal functions: communication,sincerity,evaluation,and explicit differences.This paper focuses on the textual mark function and discourse continuation function.Real discourse markers have the function of adapting to the context in the communication to successfully achieve the purpose of communication.Secondly,From the microscopic point of view,we study “bu man ni shuo”,“shuo zhen de”,“shuo shi zai de” and “shuo shi hua”,including the distribution,influence,discourse function,evolution and the formation mechanism.Finally,discourse's distribution and function of the four real discourse markers are compared.The research focus and innovation of this paper lies in a macroscopic study of real discourse markers and the continuation function of real discourse markers.We find that the topic of adjacence is the main continuation function of real discourse markers.
