"In the Far Place" is a Qinghai folk song written by Mr.Wang Luobin in1941.It describes his romantic feelings towards the Tibetan girl Zhuoma.The music is not only of strong national characteristics,but also of great romantic color.Zhang Chao's piano adaptation was created after the composer's underst anding and sublimation of Qinghai folk song "In That Far Place".Zhang Chao,a Yunnan native,is a member of the Chinese Musicians Association,a compo ser at the national level,a composer at the Conservatory of the Central Univer sity for Nationalities,and a supervisor of postgraduate students.Starting from th e performance level of the piano adaptation of The Far Place,this paper analy ses its performance skills and emotional treatment,and draws lessons from the singing breath of the folk song "In the Far Place" of the same name,so as t o make the piano performance closer to the author's creative intention. |
