The Production Of Industrial Themes And Image Meaning In Chinese Art In The First Half Of The 20th Century

Throughout the 20 th century,industrial image is a new painting motif,which participates in all aspects of the historical process and social movement in the form of visual images.However,how this motif came into being and how it represented a series of new changes in Chinese society in the 20 th century through self-production has always been an "obvious" but not fully understood art history problem.The production and evolution of the meaning of industrial images are influenced by the ideology of different times,societies and regions,and there is a consensus in academic circles.However,how to understand its specific construction process is a subject to be further studied.Modern industry has experienced a hundred years of vigorous development from Western "immigration" to China.Its emergence and evolution is a magnificent history in itself.Meaning production of industrial image is independent of industrial entity.It is the understanding and construction,speech and game of different social classes and strata around the new thing of industrial development in the historical context.All meaningful representations and image narratives related to industry are the result of collision and accumulation of multiple discourses.The interpretation of industrial art should also be grasped from the perspective of social history and cultural history.Based on this research orientation,this paper makes a mutually verifiable study on the historical context,ideological characteristics and the meaning representation and discourse practice of art images in corresponding periods,in order to investigate the narrative characteristics of industrial art in the ideological generation mechanism of different periods.In other words,this paper is a study of images or symbols.The starting point of this study is not what kind of industrial images have been created in a certain period,but what kind of ideological influence these images have produced.What kind of social significance and desires have the visual image of fine arts manifested?...
