Peter Tchaikovsky(May 7,1840-November 6,1893),a great Russian composer and music educator in the nineteenth century,is known as the great "Russian music master" and "melody master".He was the earliest professional composer in Russia who received college education.He learned more about Western European composing techniques,and combined with his inheritance of his own music tradition and his love of folk music,showing his unique personality and style.Tchaikovsky's achievements are mainly manifested in the fields of symphony,ballet and opera.But in fact,he also has excellent piano works,such as "Four Seasons" and "Sonata in C minor",which are loved by the audience.This paper explores Tchaikovsky's theme and variation Op19,No6 in F Major,which was written in 1873.At this time,Tchaikovsky is in the first period of his music creation career.Compared with his later works,it is less profound and shocking,and more warm and poetic.It brings rich sensory feelings to the audience.It not only represents the creative thoughts of Tchaikovsky's early music,but also shows the atmosphere of the Russian era at that time.Through the author's investigation,it is found that the research on this work is limited at home and abroad,and there are many gaps left.During the study,the author found the value of this work.Under the guidance of her tutor,she studied this work in depth and produced her own experience.On this basis,she tried to pass on this work.The theme characteristics,variation techniques,texture and performance techniques are preliminarily studied to excavate the valuable artistic value of this work.
