It is an attempt to expand the subject matter of picture book creation and explore the ways to spread traditional culture to spread,protect,develop Chinese traditional culture and handicraft,and adhere to cultural self-confidence by using traditional handicraft utensils as materials and picture books as carriers.As an intangible cultural heritage,traditional handicraft has a variety of categories,forms and a long history.It is an important part of the traditional culture of the Chinese nation.The good things handed down over thousands of years,the tools used,and even the production process are all very good painting materials.With them as the object of creation,they are made into picture books.They are propaganda and promotion of traditional culture in reading groups such as children and adolescents.The organic combination of the two can achieve twice the result with half the effort.Picture books are simply a combination of pictures and words to interpret a story with plot,which is a book to express the emotions and special themes of the story.Picture books synthesize art,literature,design and other elements,and put forward higher comprehensive requirements for creators in the process of production.They should fully understand the creative theme,that is,to understand all aspects of traditional crafts,to pay attention to the aesthetic and reading needs of readers,and to emphasize the humanistic feelings,story plots,artistic aesthetics and the characteristics of the times and interesting.Picture books here are regarded as a carrier,and this carrier is properly applied in the creation of traditional handicraft implements,"using art to express works of art" to carry forward traditional culture and inherit traditional handicraft.My graduation project selected traditional metal handicraft utensils as the object of creation,and carried out the creative practice of drawing books.In the early stage of the creation of picture books,we should define the theme and accumulate a large amount of material for this traditional theme.By sorting out the material,we can extract the creative content to be expressed,and show it in the way of picture books.In the process of creating picture books,we should unify the formal language of the picture with the emotions of the subject matter,and better convey the experience of traditional metal crafts.History accumulation.Picture books,as the media way of the present era,are the most popular way of communication and education to describe and narrate traditional handicraft in the current tide of picture book reading.It is a new way to inherit and promote traditional handicraft.
