Standards of National Language Curriculum is used to guide and adjust the direction in the process of the curriculum reform,the reading part profoundly affects the progress of the reading teaching practice.This paper choose primary school stage of the standards of National Language Curriculum in China and the United States for text comparison and analysis.By combing,comparing and summarizing the reading part of the two countries' National Language Standards and analyzing their similarities and differences to draw lessons.This paper will be divided into three major parts.The first part is a historical review and summary of the standard and reading part of the two countries' National Language Curriculum.The second part is the comparison of the reading part of the two standards,from the concept and framework,the goal and content,and the teaching suggestions,mainly including the second,third and fourth chapter.The third chapter “goals and content” is divided into two levels,“Total goal and content” and “Specific goal and content”,the latter is the core of the comparison and is divided into two latitudes,vertical and horizontal.The vertical comparison analyzes the reading philosophy and the emphasized training objectives reflected in the whole primary school stage,and finally summarize the similarities and differences between the two countries.It is concluded that “Both countries attach importance to the cultivation of reading comprehension ability,but the training methods are different.Both countries pay attention to reading methods,but the emphasis and connotation are different.Compared with the United States,China attaches more importance to reading accumulation and reading interest.Compared with China,the United States attaches more importance to the combination of teachers' support and independent reading of students”.The horizontal comparison analyzes the similarities and differences in the cultivation of specific learning stage in the two countries.It is concluded that there are differences in several aspects of objectives and contents of the reading part for the primary school in the two countries,including the learning of text,communication learning,students' overall grasp of articles,the details of students' description texts,the learning of poetry reading texts,and the analysis of reading texts.The third part of this paper is inspiration and reflection.Through the previous two parts of the review and the in-depth comparison of the text,this paper analyses and summarizes the deficiencies that need to be improved and the advantages that deserve to be preserved and developed of the reading part of the Chinese curriculum standard of primary schools in China.Finally,it puts forward some suggestions on the content adjustment of the reading part of the Chinese curriculum standard of primary schools in China,including "balanced sensibility and rationality","emphasizing the perception of the lower grade students on the overall text","class discussion and communication should focus more on reading the text".
